..?

Get on a stage such as URL or KOTD and actually perform your bars?

If I was to say yes it wouldn't be without saying if be so fucking nervous abt forgetting lines, messing up etc.

Or would the crowd take on to your style?

Maybe if I did a handful of smaller battles beforehand to prepare, I certainly wouldn't be able to jump on a stage as big as that without choking unless I already had a few under my belt.

People underestimate how difficult it is to actually do what they do, surrounded by a bunch of people, and also on camera, I think the performance part is probably much more difficult than the writing part of it. You have to be a certain kind of person, same as anything which requires you to perform in front of an audience, some people just can't do it.

I am not ready yet, but I practice for like 20 minutes a day, and I also practice memorizing techniques. I figure in about 8-9 months I could probably step up on the stage. Thanks for asking man.

^^ If you don't practice in a mirror you're doing it wrong

Witty - I agree, it's not as simple as just memorizing your verse and rapping it. So much other things come into play as you said. I agree on the smaller battles too. Something Lowkey to boost confidence.

I believe that I could but I can't be 100% sure until I'm in the situation where I have to write the lines, memorize them and then perform them in front of a crowd. It seems pretty simple now but when it's showtime, idk.

I think I have the flow n delivery. Considering I used to audio battle.

That being said i dont think I could for reasons letterman speculated on.

If you haven't performed or done any gigs I would recommend doing that before you battle.

Get acquainted with the crowd. You won't always get a reaction from them, so don't choke or blame them for any mishaps.

Learn to freestyle. When you get really good at freestyling you have to write very little at first. This lets you use the crowd, your opponent, and yourself with props. It builds up your confidence and teaches you how to control the room.

Then when you memorize written stuff, incorporate your frees into it. Don't be 100% written. Ever.
