my yard is just the size where you could go either way on the mower
I'm sure I'll end up buying a riding one anyway, but I couldn't bring myself to drop that much with only like one or two mows left in the season

keep an eye on john deere stores

cop a clearance model and snag it for a decent price, still gonna pay around 4-6k for a good one but it'll last you 10 years vs. spending 1-3k on a cub cadet/craftsman/lowes version of deere that'll last 1-2 years

if you do just make sure to do your research and check the engine

that's the problem with deere's, they whore out their name to lowes and other companys and they just put a deere logo on an MDK piece of trash craftsman

if you can get like a 5 year old deere though that'd be well worth it
