View Full Version : When is someone going to make an actual Hip Hop Hall of Fame?

The Bronx needs this.

You could do it like the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, where you become eligible 25 years after your first album drops. Keep the classes small, maybe three rappers/groups per class. Start it with Kool Herc (the originator), Run-DMC (the first great group) and Melle Mel (the first GOAT).

Could bail out some of those broke old rappers by buying some memorabilia from them, like Grandmaster Flash's Kangol or some shit. Tell me a rap museum wouldn't be sick.

Kool G Rap and Kool Keith would be eligible, and they both still have albums dropping now. Rakim was just on something recently, too.

You can't just let everyone in right away or no one's going to keep coming back when you've got a class like Jeru the Damaja, Mykah 9 and Juelz Santana. You have to have hard-hitters coming through, so you space them out.
