Listen.

We fall, we break. We stall and stake
It all. If at all we fake, we might as well call it a day.
The calm in the squall at bay is but a false
Indicator of the storm they face when we're gone. But hey,
They wanted it all to fall in our wake. While we pause
And replay the recourse from our lawn out in space in thought,
We rewind to the times we fought in the race as a force
To be adourned with their hate. And, of course,
It can come off as a pain to endure all the losses and gains
When no causes remain and a forfeit is more of a loss than when slain.
But yet we pour out through more bouts, our cores bored out the same.
Taking no tour routes, we tore down the gorge seeking more out as prey.
When we were worn out, we dug chords out and played,
Reviving the boy scouts that swayed with no rations still saved.
This passion fashions us in ways we have no domain over these days.
Lone stragglers in grey. Back and it- snow sleet or rain.
