I’m getting older by the minute, when I’m sober kinda timid
And barely drink anymore, because I know that I’ll regret it
I think before I talk... I think I’m more evolved
I don’t get too excited or too miserable, just calm
I’m good at saving money, cause I wouldn’t pay for nothing
Unless it served a real purpose, so I put away for something
I’m careful when I drive, apparently that’s why
My insurance rates are decent, plus I’m over 25
I always pay the mortgage, since economy’s important
And I’ve got some nice things, cause I can honestly afford it
I’ve got a solid job, and I’m not a friggin slob
And I’m never late for work because I’m always on the clock
I try to eat healthy so... I dine with an extra goal
And make sure all my meals have a variety of vegetables
I’m not on that drama shit, cause I gotta be honest when
I tell it how it is… and that’s probably obvious
I’m not attracted to girls, cause I’m attracted to woman
I like the natural curves, and not the plastic-y bitches
I have a steady pace, I don’t have to win the race
And as long as shit gets done, then I’m happy with my day
I take care of my lawn, and rake there in the fall
And if I see a pesky weed I’m straight tearin it off
Keep my house neat and tidy, I ain’t about bein grimy
My sink always sparkles and the spout’s even shiny
I stay clean cut, got no locks or a beard
And I shave each stub until I’ve got the appearance
I wear normal style fashions, it’s embarrassing to me
These phony type faggots when they’re wearin skinny jeans
I like moderate volumes when I listen to music
And I’m not into coffee with vanillas and mousses
Hate the cold in the winter, I stay controlling the temp
Now that’s 50 reasons why I’m way too old for this shit..

Color lies in the eyes of the beholder

TO THE SANE:
The many shades of gray,
A color discriminated as plain mundane
Hence, the expression of growing gray with age
In which, one’s face loses all color like a wall’s fading paint.
Just being affiliated with its benighted name
Is an insult to the finest tastes of us hybrid apes,
Who are under the illusion of being in the Messiah’s race.
A color so lifeless it does not desire change
Yet, those who confront it are inspired to climb out their idle cage
So we can stare into the light that once burned our vampire like gaze.
Thus, setting the stage for a resurrection where our viral load wanes.
Yet, we still mock it, for it is unknown how much it guides our way
As we float about in cyberspace, unsure if our own delusions are part of hyperspace.

TO THE INSANE:
The many shades of gray rain on our parade
A place of delight where we masquerade in our charade;
Our matrixes are arranged to mask the plagues in our domain,
A black and white monochrome that’s haunted our brains since the arcane
Some say heaven left us, yet somehow the pearly gates still remain
Angry at our desertion, what then ignites is an exploding grenade in our veins,
Satan then internalized our pain, but we never immortalize the sage
This is a mere example to exemplify our faith comprised of blame, a mindless rape
We take to our grave, never telling anyone of our agonizing pain
Like the time where we were emotionally molested with sodomizing blades.
Our misjudgments were spawned from a split conscious, a cognitive object
That although illuminates phenomena, also highlights our dysfunctions.
Shades of gray are the only memory engrained,
Because everything is intentionally forgotten
Being that, they are energies of pain for the mentally insane
Entities that came to give my mind some instructions
Mainly delirious musings, so I can have asylum discussions
With the others who have experienced psychic induction.
Shades of gray, how you’ve become my greatest asset
My only friend in a place so tragic that it was made for madness

Patty - I loved the flip, or possibly literal interpretaion of topic, I was forced to watch the movie with my wife, she was upset and claims the books are a million % better, either way, shit writing in the flesh. Not you, I actually connected with your character as I'm the same way on just about everything beside the clean cut and lawn (I got people who do it for me) and I rarely shave because some men can't grow and manly beard so I do it for them. Anyways. I enjoyed the read. It had a sense of open book to it, a peer into a soul which was cool. There was no stutter moment, although near the end you sort of lost the flow a bit, but held content strong so I can't complain. Overall a very solid read, short and to the point. Crisp.

Buddha - Hybrid apes gets a thumbs up for sure. You were a bit clustered this week. I did not get the sense that you selected the route and shot straight for it. you sort of jumped from here to there in a sense. I did love the concept of us blaming Satan for our short comings, I'm paraphrasing, but there was a snippet of this verse that dug in that direction before veering left. I can tell now when you try and what a quick write looks like, the differences are not vague

V/ Copy

His verse was different, not subtle and intriguing with a nice direction given his topic. Buddha had a solid verse, but the light hearted tones and humor overcame his view of humanity in different instances this week.
