well its the world wide organization of organic farming of course
we can go virtually anywhere that you've ever wanted to be on earth and stay for free in exchange for some daily hours of good wholesome farming that you can feel GOOD about
and then have the rest of the day, and weekends, to EXPLORE and LAUGH and LIVE like you never have before

that's what you do when you don't know. You look it up and form an opinion.
it's just a thing where you pick multiple stocks and assign a weight to each one and you go off of how good the entire group does as opposed to just one

Must be more to it than that. I'd much rather go off how an industry or sector is doing than to pick from multiple stocks across sectors and judge based on that.
Are you new to investing or are you pretty knowledgable?

dig? you assign each stock a percentage of the total motif so if you make mcdonalds 80% of your motif and that shit drops and you assign 20% chipotle and that shit blows up you're probably going to break even or something but the point is so you don't put all your eggs in one basket I assume
anyways AERO what do you do

How much are you looking to make this year? What's your risk appetite? Are you looking for long term or short term stocks?
I'm lookin to make anything. probably can risk 1000 which is what I'd spend. 20-50% return after a year would be cool but that's probably extremely tough but like I've said I've been checking the 1mo 6mo 1yr gain of lots of different things, if something blew up in a month I'd prolly pull out, if it was steady I'd keep it a year or two.

You can have multiple 20-50% returns. With $1,000 you can turn that into $15,000 before the year is up and that's light.
With 20-50% returns you're looking at more aggressive and volatile stocks. Blue chips (Google, Apple, Exxon etc) are not the way unless heavily discounted but with only $1,000 you won't get many shares. You may get a dividend though.
yeah I don't want any $400 per share stocks. I may do apple/google for the long haul but that's not what I'm lookin into right now.
How do I turn 1 into 15, point me in a good direction
that's why I'm looking into motif investing cuz I don't want to throw 500 here 500 there have one go bad and boom

Subscribe to multiple penny stock newsletter heads. Most of the time they will promote a stock it will go up 50% the next day then a couple of days letter the stock will fall dramatically and you will lose your $.
I suggest subscribing, see how the stocks do after you get the alert and then you can start recognizing patterns in how they promote a stock. Don't jump in a stock right away just play the sidelines. You must know when to get in and have an idea of when to get out.
Companies pay promoters to promote their stock so a lot of the time those stocks are trash but that isn't the point. The point is to make $ from those who still think it's a good stock.
Choose stocks that release a lot of news content.
Put these apps on your phone:

Seeking Alpha

yeah i was checking out penny stocks around this time last year but noticed how companies were getting paid a shit ton to put a penny stock on blast like it was the second coming of Christ and then 6 days later they quickly bottom out and everyone dies so i said fuck that
so you're telling me to check out those patterns and play a little double dutch and that'll actually make me money?
you talkin like drop 100$ on the right penny stock let it shoot up then dip? have you had success with this? seems hella risky

20-50% is risky no matter how you slice it.
I've been making $ for a long time though so I wouldn't really suggest to a newbie. May be better off betting on sports.
nah fuck that

No, my first two stocks were Xerox and Walgreens. I dabble in penny stocks with petty money but I have made good money doing it. You can make $15,000 this year easily. If you can't risk $1,000 start with $100.

with inflation s&p is horrible and a route for losers.
Get a low cost fiduciary and study the stock market, or bonds, or commodities, whatever. Become an expert, lower your costs. Find low cost options and do your thing. If not just follow the index and buy a house when you're 60 like a loser.
No hate though

Dog just read The Big Short, unless you're a super genius like Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes, you will not get it the first time but it's hilarious and for a laymen to read it 2x is to increase his interest and market knowledge tenfold esp. if you use that reading as a launching pad for other books. I'd reccomend the 10-day MBA, How to Read Financial Statements, and something on Bonds and reading balance sheets. Also would recommend

Written by a young Indian teen whose family own the Indian stock game. Very basic but a good intro. After you read The Big short you'll know what to do if you're not a pussy. Learn how to read financial statements, find discrepancies in the Market and pull the trigger. Also helps to have at least 20k to play with and perhaps a fiduciary. Good luck but I doubt you have the tenacity for it.
nah no fiduciary and I have like 1k to play around with i'm a broke boy but I have a tenacity like none other when it comes to anything numbers related so I SHALL READ ALL THAT
NYCSPITZ

that just means your considerable talents are misplaced. 1k is nothing, you wanna turn that into 5 when you could've just studied, saved, and turned 5 into 25? Save some money. To be honest it might not be your angle though in the end. Would you rather 150k/yr via 60 hr work weeks or 50k a year through your own business and 20 hr weeks? If it's the latter read 4 hour work week by tim ferriss and related books that appeal in the reccomended reading list. But saving is possible even with a 40k job. Save and study, then pounce when you're ready
