A Web search reveals McDonald's really doesn't put mustard on burgers in New York (but does seemingly everywhere else in this country). I grew up there and don't remember that being the case at all. But I like burgers with or without mustard, so I probably never noticed.

mustard is an acquired taste. i like it on sausage sandwiches, salami sandwiches, ham sandwiches, and thats it really. but it EXEMPLIFIES the BITE of those well.
