been like that for approx. 15 - 20 years because of drug trafficking. No one can drive through, just walk through. i don't live there anymore. Just wondering how rare or common this is in urban areas?

nah, that seems to me -to be more the work of the dealers. they did that shit in north philly. either that or as soon as a car would ride up someone would pull out of a parking spot rite in front of it and someone would come up behind it. its to make sure no shady shit goes on. they will body you out there if you dont come correct
