(Kendrick Lamar - Ignorance Is Bliss) (Re-spit by DerogatedD)
[Verse 1]
Lord forgive me..
Before I start,
I just want to say I’m not black,
But I’m the next Rosa Parks,
Now that I’m in gear, I put it in reverse,
And put it in park,
The engine to life has died,
And now someone gotta’ jumpstart,
I got homies on every block,
They pop up at your house like a poptart,
I heard your phone number start with 187,
I copped two .9s, and killed about eight teens (18),
I wonder if their souls ever reached Heaven,
I know I kept the streets clean,
Except for the pebbles and rocks,
The pavement which tires on top rocks,
Lean out momma’s mini-van,
And start busting the glocks,
All caught a full clip,
And went under the naval like sunken docks,
Sped off passing the limit,
Each clip we had didn’t have a limit,
They should’ve payed up,
Because we aren’t a gimmick,
I’m not a rap God,
I’m just Kendrick,
(Cause ignorance is bliss)
[Hook: Schoolboy Q]
Now everybody put your hands up high,
If you don’t give a fuck, put your hands up high
[Verse 2]
The beat bang like Chief Keef,
I spit emotional,
Deeper than a coral reef,
Throw a punch and get countered,
Leave you 6ft under in eternal sleep,
I drop niggas like mixtapes,
I got one on the 22nd,
And I can’t wait,
The only thing I need to get up is my weight,
And I hope Martin Luther know I got a dream,
It’s to stop being mistreated, because I’m treated like a carpet,
So it may seem (seam) that I’m tearing by the seam,
Yeah, I’m on Cloud 9,
I had to multiply Cloud 3 to the power of two,
To learn how to rhyme,
I’m glocking the clock,
I need to stop killing time,
Pack two Mac 11s,
and stir your cheese,
You think that I’m Mr. Compton,
I tell these shooters that I have something in common,
Iraqi on the track dropping bars, prepare for a bombing
Blockades in my future’s path but I’m still not stopping,
I’m only a dinosaur on the beat stomping
These rappers is fresh meat on the stage,
I’m a K9, Chain-Chomp chomping,
Push a fresh Cadillac with dice in the mirror,
Army of Two part two,
Back to back, now steer 'er
Nuts like a ship wheel on my dick
I show these bitches how to mine gold,
Without a pick
Proves that ignorance is bliss
[Hook]
Now everybody put your hands up high,
If you don’t give a fuck, put your hands up high
[Verse 3]
And this still bang like Chief Keef,
I spit emotional,
Deeper than a coral reef,
The rap game is mine,
Grab it, then physically put it in my mind,
Because hip-hop is my only thought,
And you think you got the perfect one,
When she only a thot,
In a few weeks time,
Clips will be caught,
So bring your mitt,
And I’ll run after it like Romney,
I drop explosive bars,
Hiroshima, and the Nagasaki bombing,
The world itself might as well be Iraq,
Fame is the only thing that Iraq (I rack),
I’m running around your head like track,
So maybe you can see,
I break your track, and that your ignorance is bliss,
It might bring it back.
I know the kendrick track
But is that really what he says? Or did you alter it. Cause it reads wack as fuck in comparison to how ibremember the song sounding.
Really confused cuz dont remember the track like that and not looking for it.
I dont like the writing.

Lord forgive me
[Verse 1:]
Kill him where he stand or stand over him shake his hand
Then jump back in that mini van, double back to his block
And blam I ain't backing down for nothing
I'm a back em down like Shaq with this black 2-2-3 in my hand
Better pray that this chopper jam, like a radio single, man
Police radio signals sayin' that a 187 land on your corner,
Coroners comfort your mama, mama he's dead,
The next morning high toasted up with my homies
We drink and smoke marijuana, want us to change our ways? Uh-huh
You see this game we play come from uncles that raised me in Compton
Ask me what I have accomplished
I don't know I don't have conscience
I just load up and start dumpin' on enemies I'm head hunting
No sympathy, ain't no love when you in these streets just get something
Protect ya neck cause they comin' for set respects split your onion
Then chop your deck your head tumblin' like gymnastics
Cause ignorance is bliss
[Verse 2:]
This the hardest shit you've heard from LA this far
And I'm this far, from a discharge but never will I dish off
We all tryna ball and when I got the rock I'll dish off
Until the day I pistol whip you posers till ya'll pissed off
Then peel off, in a hooptie
Come back and make these niggas wanna shoot me
And they bitches wanna salute me or seduce me
Indubitably I'm too street
Indubitably I'm a do me
Better than your bitch would
But you niggas too weak, but just give me 2 weeks
And I'm good
I'll make an album that'll put a smile on Malcolm
Make Martin Luther tell God I'm the future for Heaven's talent
No tarot card reading I'm foreseeing you niggas vanish
Not only from the rap game, I'm including the planet
Cats so watered down clowns can sink Titanic
Tie titanium around their neck and watch em panic
Give me respect, dammit, or get damaged
Die young, corpse identified by your parents
Apparently you a parrot
Mocking me and my blueprint
But I won't share it just make you cop it then call you a sheriff
Stop it, I'm hearin' the comments
The critics are calling me conscious
But truthfully, every shooter be callin' me Compton
So truthfully, only calling me Kweli and Common?
Proves, that ignorance is bliss
[Verse 3:]
And this still the hardest shit you've heard from LA this far
And I'm this far, from a discharge but never will I dish off
This my world, I grab the universe then play kickball
And they wonder why these California earthquakes hit so hard
I'm so-Cal, you so called
Rappers need to go call
Ghostbusters to shoot busters I'm Casper when I go off
I show up, to show out to show off
You a hundred percent behind me
And if you hard then wreck your car and walk up to my crime scene
I remember being 17 wishing someone would sign me
Now the only way these labels get me back is when they rewind me
Backin' down boggins
Backin' down bitches
We gon' flip her once she off that blue dolphin
You gon' tip her
Cause ignorance is bliss
And Willy B I'm a fool on yo beats, I bleed out the speaker
As the speaker that spoke when they done speak
Mr. J

I don't know what to say really..
although I remember in middle school when I would do this..
but now I don't even pay attention to beats unless I need to
I guess that is the most interesting thing about music..
in the end I guess you really tried to ride the beat..cool!

Alright, that's fine, I respect your opinion. I'm not Kendrick, just trying to vibe to it and emulate. If you can, provide any tips?

Thanks, but I'm in high-school, haha. I'll re-write this as I see how it doesn't relate in lyricism such as Kendrick, though I did have good lyricism. Thanks, also, I tried my best to emulate his lyrics in this song.
This was not good "lyricism". Never respond to someone's critique of you by trying to boost your ego back up because it never works.
ANYWHO, I don't know where to start with this because there was way too many dumb phrases in this for me to take this seriously. The "I'm not black, but I'm the next Rosa Parks" bar might have been the dumbest thing I've read in awhile. I'm not telling you this to be a dick, serious. I'm telling you this so that you won't write dumb shit anymore.
Don't talk about doing drive-by's in your mom's mini-van unless you do it or you're good enough lyrically for me to vibe with it (you're not). Actually, that criticism applies to your whole verse. None of it was believable. I felt nothing reading it and honestly stopped halfway through and started typing this feed.
Don't write shit YOU don't know about. Write what you feel, brah. Peace.

idk I think he has the right attitude towards writing
He's pretty honest with us and responsive to feedback, I mean that's better than 90% of dudes today
Yo DerogatedD
This wasn't terrible. Trying to 'emulate' rappers or writers always comes off weird, because no one can do their style like they do, because they've been learning & practicing it forever
But don't let anyone here tell you different- every writer tries to incorporate bits and pieces of other writers' skillsets into their stuff
Keep writing dawg

Oh, thanks a lot man, that's good to hear. I think it was good, but that's just me being biased because it's my own rap. I think I had good lyricism, too.

I do write about how I feel, and this is how I feel. If you want a depression rap, I'll write you one. Want political? I got that on deck. What I meant by that lyric was that I am white, and like Rosa Parks, I will refuse to give up my spot until I'm forced. I'm sorry if this is too stupid, but again, I am 15, I'm not Kendrick myself. But thanks for your feedback.

Maybe I was a bit harsh.
You stated your opinion, that's all that matters. It's your voice, and I need to hear it for me to get better. Thanks for the criticism.
I day drink allot, and I was day drinking when I typed that feed. This really wasn't as bad as I made it seem, I was just drunk and angry. Keep writing, yungin'.

Thanks, I think it was good too. I got inspiration for the first line because I always wrote my shit on the school bus.
