LGPA Season 1: Week 3

Objective Hush

Check ins: Tuesday (Midnight Eastern time)
Poems Due: Friday (Midnight Eastern time)
Votes due: Sunday (Midnight Eastern time)

This week's theme is to write three haikus. Why three, you ask? You're probably thinking, why not just write one and vote for the best? In my opinion, writing one haiku is a little too easy. Writing three will increase your odds of winning the battle, should one not strike a chord, and also to make it a more thorough writing exercise.

Example of what your submission should look like:

'title'
[haiku]

'title'
[haiku]

'title'
[haiku]

Your theme for your haikus shall be: Autumn

Start
Fruits of Babylon,
may ye never rot our souls
as the fall close in.

Middle
I have lived my life
through hurdles of fallen leaves.
The naked trees pose.

End
I never stop as
the sun becomes apparent
through recycled dreams.

Sorry hush. As I feel your pain especially when I consider I enjoyed the content as you were poking fun, the rules to a haiku are clear and went off track to far. Objective had decent work. I liked the "tree poses" haiku most. I did however greatly appreciate the run on story, you successfully made three haikus into one. Giving each a different state of life and action. Dope concept. I regret voting before writing now. But I'm pressed for free time this week so....

I enjoyed hush's most, but I give my vote to objective for sticking to theme and tradition.

Hush, your first one was cool.. Objective blew you out of the water though.

Middle
I have lived my life
through hurdles of fallen leaves.
The naked trees pose.

End
I never stop as
the sun becomes apparent
through recycled dreams.

^Those were tight. Nicely done.

There won't be any more haiku weeks Hush, rest assured.

Hush brought that comical side of things.

However, Objective won this fairly easily. My favorite being middle, the other two had a concatenation, in terms of interconnectedness, but I felt the middle was, in a sense, the highlight.

Vote: Objective
