"Crackpot Animalist"

In a union of laissez-faire roots
and thunder cut dirt, the Big Cat
wound its head behind a brook
and uncurled its body in the name of non-compliance

A Lexington fur coat resurrected notions
of bleak Cheshire luxury. Periwinkle cigar smoke
- stripes like a Worker Party manifesto
in the columns, cogs, gears of dead winter

Incessant domain - riptide foliage
where forest met the shadows of storage closets
stocked with liberated Mongolian refugees
high hats, and nixed military brass

There's something about whiskers that tug
a turnstool and leave a naked barman,
set a Burmese python's tail on fire
slash-and-burns modern epithets
douses main terminals in un-navigable tears

Ho-hum goes an iron-lung, a product of Narnia
steamrolled in jasmine rice, The Big Cheese
sitting like a stuntman's candle atop a birch tree
looking down at how the reanimated rabbit feet shuffle

Unforgivables amble up a gnarled rope
their death warrants signed by Henry Kissinger lapdogs
Icons of slow dance theory;
steps in a direction dubbed doom

The world's governed by cat screeches in dark alleyways
but also by the silence of turnip fields far removed
from the wild, entangled, coniferous smog
Gravitating away from big microphones and towers
towards the Great Out-décor...

The mask, the homunculi flask

I wish to be a human no more,
Strip me of this mirage and give me my mask
Exiled, I’m calling for a mutant reform;
We’ve grown tired
Of having our animalistic spirits harassed.

Imagine that, children who can’t act like children,
Because of the incomprehensible worthlessness their feeling.
Lift me from this need to perpetuate society’s mental illness
Unsatisfied, at the encrypted image that stares back,
Eden is a spotless reflection in the mirror;
The Egyptian sphinx and the griffon are my exoteric features.
The regime sanctions teachers to exploit my inherent weakness,
Training me to only see the evil within-
By teaching solely the death of the phoenix;
Rebirth is a symptom of an ever growing delirium.
Yet, I know there’s something beyond this exterior.
It is no secret those with a God complex really feel inferior.

This chimeric mask makes me forget why I feared being viewed.
Our complexion has acquired a deep tinged villainous hue,
All because tyrannical groups with their cybernetic judgement
Have caused a primordial instinct to bloom.
Yet, despite my recognition I’m still ordered to do
A metamorphosis of my soul when it’s approved.
The mask hides my tomb.
Identity is a façade of a greater ruse,
Transient sentience is a phase, a cosmological blood moon,
A cycle that’s fated to eclipse into doom.
We renounce our evolution, deeming progress a psychosomatic fluke,
Meant to be taken seriously only by fools,
Nodding their heads sleepily in schools.

Donnie Darko was the one in Frank's costume.
Remove my mask and you’ll see the charade is true.
You who goes where no one dares,
Are no exception to the architectural rule.

I liked what you produced here God, you incorporated, as you do often, many human components in question. You explained in detail what could be and what if. The final product is still a bit of mystery to me I must admit. I wish I had more time to break these down, but I know if I put it off it won't get done, so this is best. Vulgar on the other hand went old school topical I feel. Not in rhyme, but this read like them old paragraph verses before bars became the norm and before every period there was an end rhyme. The animalistic scenery was dope, and the underlying meaning, to me at least, was humanity lives and dies, mean and nice, magma and ice. I forget the theory of opposites are equal on different spectrums, yin and yang type meaning, but this is what your verse gave me thoughts of. Solid showing from you each, I enjoyed the both for many reasons and different levels. This battle can only be judged off which I connected with more because there really isn't a single thought in either of your readings that I did not appreciate at the very least. Extremely even match where you both deserve more in depth thoughts then I am mustering now. Couple of lectures you just wrote. Kudos

I think the moniker oswald such and such should really be your poetic alias in this lpga league. I would much rather read the topical mindsetted Vulgar, which is missing from the scene right now. I say you sign into the AOWL and incorporate what you've learned thus far and try to make a run for the playoffs while simultaneously modding the playoffs. Pussy cat picture was arctic here, totally opposite of the tropical climate you be in. So that takes creativity, perhaps you channeled the puma. I latched on to some of the nooks and crannies of this, such as riptide foliage and ho hum from a iron lung. All in all man, the gumbo was just not clicking for me, man. The individual ingredients were all over the place. Though all distinct ingredients, perhaps some better suited for other dishes? Not this particular dish. Coherency is key, even in a crackpot way of looking at the world, you need lineage. To be honest, I wasn't really fond of this excerpt to be honest. Just felt too disjointed, with not enough focus on portraying the picture in it's most accurate light.

Biggest compliment I could give a new arrival on the scene is "I think it's Zygote." Having beaten Zygote many of times, he perhaps was my most notorious foe. I was convinced that when you arrived on the scene that you were him. He would do renditions of my work which I scathingly admired. I think you have elevated slightly since your arrival. You are less sporadic and more honed into a singular tone. Perhaps this is something you have been working on, as you have mentioned it in the mag, saying you want to clear your mind of previous pieces and start fresh every single time. Zygote would write his thoughts out, and later go back and add rhymes to it. Your process reads similarly. Not entirely sure why you mentioned my name but it is a trending topic these days. I will PM you a bit of personal information that I do not wish to disclose.
