I'm gonna listen to at least two from each person tbh. Thought this was a good year for music
My favorite was Dan Mangan + Blacksmith - Club Meds. More of an Alternative rock thing but it actually qualifies as 'alternative' while still being enjoyable

Christian Scott - Stretch Music

Also To Pimp a Butterfly and Sour Soul
Hiatus Kaiyote gets an honorable mention

I pre-ordered Sleater-Kinney's album on Amazon. I have been in on them. I recall that comment being about Savages.

I remember the Savages comment. You said something about Sleater Kinney as well. But what's the point in arguing? There is no point in arguing about this. I noticed you don't have Divers on your list.
That's weird.
20. Donnie Trumpet & the Social Experiment, Surf
I feel like this got less credit than it deserved, I really dug it.
But tbh I didn't listen to a whole lot of new music this past year.

I already fought for documentary 2 + 2.5 in the last thread. Still stand by it.

I just hated how many guest appearances there were. It's hard for me to put an album featuring J. Cole in my top 10.

Lupe Fiasco is for people who listen to J. Cole. And vice versa. Don't be one of those people.
plenty of stuff I'll listen to here

I've seen a few lists from people whose music opinion I respect (note: only like three people here qualify) with Surf in the top five. It's dropped out of my top 20 since I posted that list, though, replaced by Wolf Alice's My Love Is Cool.
Also, Trapsoul is imitation garbage. Listen to The Internet's Ego Death (which was close to my top 20) if that's the type of music you want.

Downloaded that Jaime xx album based off your list and some other year ends. Not usually one for the beep boops but it's pretty good. 2-3 really great songs and the rest listenable to good.
nothing,nowhere - bummer.

You should listen to Baroness' Purple. It's progressive metal with plenty of emotion. I like it a lot more than I liked Deafheaven's new album.

I have all of Baroness' stuff other than Purple. Big fan. Will check it out eventually.

It hurts me Certain
Because that was the second album I put in the op
Here I thought we could break the cycle of people posting their own music choices without listening to each other but I guess 2016 will be more of the same
:(

I forgot because it's not really a recommendation if the other person already has heard it. But I did listen to the song you posted from Club Meds.
