Verses are due JAN. 11th
MONDAY at 9 P.M. Pacific/West Coast or MONDAY 11:59 PM Eastern / 6:00 AM TUESDAY JAN. 12th Central European/London
There are NO extensions.

Verses MUST be a minimum 10 lines or a maximum of 48 lines (or 650 words).

Votes are due Thursday at 4:00 p.m. Western / or Thursday 7:00 PM Eastern / 1:00 AM Friday Central European/London Failure to vote will result in NEGATIVE VOTES if you advance to the next round.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? You can technically start a match down three votes by failing to log a single vote the previous week.

Tranquil bliss, cathartic quasi wisdom murderous rage
robotic limbs groping for distance from the firmament's stage
esoteric - though mundane was the word of the mage
you can stoke your soul grey in the furnaces' flames -
whorehouses or monasteries - know the word is the same
cuz firm footing morphs to sand once a purchase is made...
burning insane. The bastion's light flickers and passes to dark

both serve to turn the wheel; enter Aladdin/Jafar
You're no better. You're just the same specimen trapped in a jar
under scrutiny - higher consciousness' marvel in awe
Ascending fractals. Changing purpose vessel and particle flaws
count your blessings! give gratitude, breathe the vacuous lore

cull clutter, focus your inner mind on passion and growth
dangling, just out of reach hanging from magical ropes

...these panaceas make egos healthy and vanities slope
veils lift, manipulations show and maladies hope -
floating on past experiences after gravity broke.
