was supposed to take delivery on a lexus gs350 f-sport @ 1p yesterday @ 7500 off MSRP and a 1.32% money factor... but then hyundai came back to me and gave me $12k off and a .216% money factor and took my current lease back with no fees, $0 down, aaaaand no first month payment so...

genesis 5.0 ultimate.
$60k car for high $40s and a lease where they only make $200 over 3 years was too good to pass up. the lexus handling was tighter for sure, but it was missing so many features i've gotten used to (not as a matter of unavailability, they just didn't order any with the stuff i want @ the lexus dealer). the big thing though was trying to go from the 5.0L 8 down to the 3.5L NA 6 in the lexus... missing that low end torque was impossible to deal with.
also considered the new 340i (too small, but much improved turbo lag over the outgoing 335i), the cadillac cts (i still hate CUE and just can't deal with the terrible haptic buttons caddy uses, plus their packaging still sucks), and mercedes c450 AMG (formerly the c400 and they've already changed the name yet again to C43 AMG?!). i lovedddddddddd the c450 soooooooo much, but with the newness of it all and only one merc dealer in the area, nobody was willing to deal. might grab one after this lease is up and the market falls out on it, though it is also a very tight fit for a 4-door.
i really wanted to test the new jaguar xe but they don't even arrive off the ships until april/may. womp womp.
anyway, having a (useful) HUD is fucking amazeballs, especially with the nav built into it. highly recommend.

I wanted to test out the new A6s but the only Audi dealership in the area has an abysmal reputation. Like, it's not even a case of one or two bad reviews.. across 7 different sites there's about 60 total reviews talking about how terrible they are because they're the only Audi dealership in 150 miles and they know it.
Since I lease and one of the benefits is having the dealership fix anything, that was a dealbreaker for me. A6 would slot in nicely between the handling of a BMW and the tech of the Genny, too.
Enjoy it man!

Yeah, I could definitely see where you're coming from. That would've been way too much of a hassle @ it being that damn far away. But the deal you got on yours is something you can't pass up for a car like that. But thanks bro, its been treating me good so far. Enjoy urs to fam.

Considering the monthly is nearly $100 less than what they offered me 3 weeks ago, I think I did well + a free first month payment to boot.

Yes. It is a buyer's market. I can't front on your business skills. No egomo. Good job. enjoy the ride. I am usually not a fan of leasing, but you can afford it, and you worked hard for it, so live the dream brother.
Do you feel good about it?

If you lease/finance, they frequently roll it into your loan. So you are paying for it + interest over the life of the lease/loan.
In this case, they threw in an additional post-cap reduction $3,250 rebate that covered all fees (doc, acq, etc) and taxes + the first month payment - so it is not being rolled in, it was covered by the rebate.
My OTD consists of the sale price and sale price only.
Nice car. The Genesis is dope.
I can't get behind the company yet, but they do make some great looking cars.

brand split is coming next year. best get 'em on the cheap while the flying h devalues them, the genesis brand will add $10k easy. reports from detroit auto show about the G90 compared interior favorably to the S-class, which is insane.
enjoy the overland! got my wife a 15 this time last year. any changes for 16?
enjoy stop and go adaptive cruise. that shit is the best. all you have to do is steer.

Got my fiancé a 2016 Chevy Colorado and the dude immediately tries to add on some 1500 dollar warranty that we basically already had through insurance and through Chevy

Only some places do that
Place I got mine is my cousins dealership and they don't. His dad my uncle is super frugal and runs the business like it's still selling cars in the 80s
The place across from them killing their business does a free oil change once a year, unlimited car washes and a full detail cleaning interior and exterior every birthday you have

I had the 1st gen Genesis Coupe, then the 1st gen Genesis 5.0 R-Spec, now the 2nd gen Genesis 5.0 Ultimate. Only problem I ever had was the HDD failed on the nav unit of the R-Spec and they not only replaced the entire thing under warranty ($8900 in just parts), but sent a runner to my house to pick up the car and left a loaner with me, then brought the car back when it was done.
Obviously that's more dealership related than manufacturer, but zero issues with fit/finish/etc. over 3 cars in the past 6 years.

Cadillac CTS was of interest, but again, fuck the CUE system.
Interested in the CT6 but it won't be out for another year.

Word the concept i seen awhile back looked pretty dope. Buick still makes pretty big cars, more in the style of that hyundai though.
I dont know im a major fan of "old man cars". Thats my only problem with caddys now is they left that behind.

Yo but for real in a social showdown I am more acceptable in any public setting then you neck hole. I got charisma, panache. Young women refer to me as debonair while I'm mercilessly beating them for burning the sauce. I said SIMMER that shit u fucking mongrel. I'm painfully charming. The warmth of my acceptance for another embraced is that of an Egyptian silk woven tapestry crafted by the hands of jesus. I could make laser tag trend.
