i started lifting a few months back, was letting myself go. getting skinny fat, which was just lazy
i've been doing these High Altitude Training Classes. they're tough. you're shut in a chamber that has high levels of altitude with really low levels of oxygen so it gets really hard to breathe. can't even fake the class either because they have a heart monitor on you so it measures how hard you're pushing yourself

I've squatted and squatted and squatted but then I get injured playing sports. 315 is an elusive mistress. Most I've ever squatted is around 285, but only around 1 rep. I weigh 145 tho

I'd imagine that you would want to simulate living at high altitude and working out at sea level. That way you have the benefit of high level red blood cells and can maximize it at sea level intensity. Because there is no way that you can have the same intensity of workout with lower oxygen levels.

No issues man. Just know that I've been looking into elevation simulation lately with plans on hiking the summit of Kilimanjaro in Tanzania New Years 2018 and it appears to me that they have you sleep at "elevation" and exercise at sea level.

I mean, u can get one and see what it says. Most of them are innacurate and throw ppl off tho. Ppl thinking there 9% bf when they're 15%. Me personally, im a pretty good judge of bf%. And i know my body. But unless ur getting ur bf% read professionaly chances are it won't be accurate. Assuming ur trying to lose fat atm? It's all diet brah. Macros.

So I lift weights one day on 3 days off. So I essentially go to my buddies studio and they have 6 rehab machines that essentially incorporate the whole body between them.
So I go station to station with no breaks in between. Each movement is about 10 seconds out 10 seconds in. So example being on the leg press pushing out is 10 seconds and letting it back down in 10 seconds. Never releasing the weight by locking your legs or letting the weights down and no momentum on the change in direction. And there is no reps. I go until I physically cannot do it anymore and then usually 3 reps with assistance.
After than is completed I jump on the ROM bike for a 5 minute power session. The follow with battle ropes. 45 seconds on 15 second breaks for 3 rounds. Then depending on the mood either some kettle bell work or TRX work for functional 3D movements. Then do a little extra core/ab work. Also will through in body squats, wall sits, squat jumps, and burpee combos. In and out around 45 minutes. On the alternate days I use the elliptical at my apt in the am for 30 minutes or so and also use the stair stepper at the gym as well. Ocassionaly use the woodway treadmill.
Been really focusing on the nutrition as well. Try to have almost 100% of my food being low glycemic and all containing low glycemic carbs, lean proteins, healthy fats, and fiber.
Dropped 15lbs since the 18th of Jan.

An so basically u doing time under tension manipulation to failure w forced reps at the end.....solid. sounds mostly like a crossfit wod tho. If ur main goal is weightloss then ur prolly good to go. I've been super focused on my diet as well....I do a 30 30 40 macro balance with around 1800 cals a day. I lift 5 times a week an do HIT cardio 5 nights a week also. Trynna put some shape an strength in my body. To me losing weight is fairly easy if I'm not Trynna maintain muscle.......but just being skinny isn't aesthetically appealing to me.

1800 cals seems slightly low for someone ur size Bags, if ur tryna preserve muscle while cutting. I shouldn't talk tho cuz my cuts are pretty low calorie wise. But i don't need to cut for too long. I'm cutting on test/deca, lol hope it just preserves muscle at this point. Not happy with what i got

Ok...start by doing sets of 5. When you can do 10 sets of 5 you can then try for 20 sets of 5. Once you can do this you can start for sets of 10.

Idk really....it's happened progressively tbC. I've basically gotten to the stage in my training where I won't keep making successful gains without being entirely dedicated. Mentally I've never felt this strong either which is encouraging me to continue as well.
