All the old channels I used to go through aren't relevant anymore.
Rap has changed a lot. What's popular. I don't care for much of it, but I'm sure there's still people out there making Hip Hop I'd enjoy. I'm just not sure where to locate it.

I just type in artists on Spotify and see if they came out with anything new
And from there I just look under related artists

Honestly threads like these put me onto new rappers all the time
Sometimes I'll cruise thru datpiff.com mixtapes too........that's really hit or miss these days tho.....the sites painfully over saturated

Find a good radio site or mix site....once in a great while something catches the ear

I follow producers i like on twitter. If they got a new song or project coming out theyll spam it. Good to find random tracks from people i never heard of.
If i see rapper shorty shit stain has a new track out ive never heard of the dude and dont care, but if premier postas it i can at least bank on the beat being dope so its worth checking.

So no real consolidated source for new shit or reviews of currently popular stuff... seems like that'd be a website worth making. Guessing there's no money in it.
Any of you remember hiphopinfinity?

I have an app on my phone that reads me all new releases while I sleep in dulcet tones so that I can better memorize them.

I'm more talking about unknowns. Not that this is the best example, but Iron Solomon released an album 'Killer' (which was almost entirely skippable) recently. 10 or so years ago Emilio Rojas was releasing music under the name Sycorax on some website that was a soundcloud/soundclick type. In 2000 Benefit released his self titled album on HHI. I know there are tons more people releasing independent albums than back then. Part of the problem is that volume.
I'll check out some of the places mentioned.
