I've been pretty underwhelmed by rap albums this year, but here are my favorites:

YG, Still Brazy
Chance The Rapper, Coloring Book
Kendrick Lamar, Untitled Unmastered
Future, Evol
Kevin Gates, Islah
Kanye West, The Life of Pablo
Joey Purp, iiiDrops

Non-rap:

David Bowie, Blackstar
Radiohead, A Moon Shaped Pool
Blood Orange, Freetown Sound
Sturgill Simpson, A Sailor’s Guide to Earth
Parquet Courts, Human Performance
The Hotelier, Goodness
Rihanna, ANTI

I still need to listen to the new albums by The Avalanches and ScHoolboy Q.

Edit: I'm halfway through ScHoolboy Q. It's very good.

I feel like the Kanye album doesnt hold up. Maybe it's just me. I listened to it again about a month ago and I found myself hitting skip half way through almost every song.

Ugly Heroes was cool. Aesop Rock's album was cool. I dont think either will get a ton of spins from me though. I have the Apathy album, but havent listened to it yet. I think I passed on the Havoc/Alchemist joint.

Young Thug's Slime Season 3 was cool
Oddisee's Alwasta was dope, but I actually preferred his Instrumental tape. I been bumping that a lot more.
Elzhi's Lead Poison was ok. Not my favorite project of his.
Kaytranada's 99.9% is dope
Vic Mensa's ep is cool
Underachievers' It Happened In Flatbush is cool too.
