What are you even talking about? Message boards were a crucial ground for underground rap. If people here didn't know Murs, who would? He was signed to fucking Def Jux and made at least one album with Slug and one with 9th Wonder. The Grouch and Scarub and Eligh and Sunspot Jonz were all much less successful long term, but I still remember them.

my favorite murs track is probably off of murrays revenge. lmao. and by that i mean i just went to youtube to look for it but couldn't

but i fucked with LA at the time. and i loved 9ths beats. i remember bumping at least one of his albums, and i think it was that one

but yea beyond that he's in who cares territory

and i only know about him because of message boards, which i didnt find til 05. message boards. murs came later.
