try to get deeper when your hips drop. also ensure you tighten your core on these - your back will thank you later.
good work. 500 was where i peaked. the past year has consisted of barely any lifting due to injuries/baby/focus on bjj but my deads are always still 405-435 even after a few months off. the rest of my lifts are always trash after a break though.
current break is gonna be a long time, sadly. i wrecked my lower back bad from a combo of inverted guard and large dudes in bjj and then going to deadlift heavy afterwards. i'm in PT for the foreseeable future T_T

And I've never dead lifted heavy for shit, lol. Always light weight max reps for definition. Plus for some reason, I hate free weights - even tho everyone tells me they are the best for equal muscle growth.

I don't use wrist clips........u mean for deadlifting./....hooks? I just use chalk. anything else is cheating.
and yea machines are ok for isolation work but free weights are gonna save you a lot of time.
I lift for hypertrophy 3-4 days a week also......you still should be lifting for strength as well............that way your "light weight rep maxes" wont be so light weight and you can get an overall more productive hypertrophy session in.
I do a lot of conditioning (box jumps for height, jump rope, running, cycling) though also and GPP work (sled drags & farm walks)
restricting yourself to high rep machine work under the theory that this is optimal for building size and definition would be doing yourself a GRAVE disservice my man.

I would just do quick paced small weight work outs in between reps at a quicker pace for conditioning. ie - small 10 lb dumb bells and work on foot positioning and jabs with combo's thrown in - nothing to crazy that would affect my elbows... More often then not would just jump rope with my leather cabled jump rope... Let me tell you, you fucked up with that and you would feel like JESUS did the night he was crucified... Shit fucked you up lol... But word..
And nah, I'd lift for strength but only would do it once a week, twice tops as I used to GYM it 5 days a week - alternating my days off pending how I felt.
You take any supps? I never fucked with them shits.. For some reason I tried the protein shakes and shit but my body retained WAYYYY too much water from them. Maybe it's just my body or maybe I was doing something wrong, as far as servings, IDK - but I do remember retaining way to much water...

an yea I used to drink protein shakes religiously for years.....had stomach issues depending on some brands but mostly no issue really
I used to take everything under the sun tho lol...pre workout...intra workout...post workout...protein shake....zma....and on and on
I deaded all that shit once I started counting macros. only supps I take now are creatine & fish oil....oh and I do take a multi vitamin, zinc and magnesium also. was taking glucosamine for my shoulder and joints in general but its expnsive and if I keep my workouts smart and my fat intake dece the fish oil seems to be sufficient.

being the best at exercising is a lot easier on the body than being the best at grapplefuckery for sure. i just have no reason to be the former anymore (married, kid, old) and i'm almost 6 years down the rabbit hole on the latter + i teach there now so i'm kind of committed.

an yea I used to take aminos/bcaas ....along with a handful of other shit I didn't really need after fixing my diet
if youre getting .8-1g of protein per lb of bodyweight you will be getting the necessary amount of branch chain amino acids to build muscle & strength
you could take it prior to a fasted workout and it would be helpful......but working out fasted is retarded lol.
supplements are good if you cant get the proper amounts in real food (you can)

It's 2017 there's an app! Lol.....but word I mean even plugging food into the app gets boring....but exactly like you said....or eluded to.....after the first month or 2 I was able to pretty much be able to look at whatever type food and just know the macros for it....so the first few months r a little tough...........and I say little cuz honestly entering food u eat into an app ain't that hard lol. So but after u do that for a while u will just be able to do it without the app.........and what's a few months in the scheme of ur life

3x5 (starting strength) and or 5x5 (bill starr) are the essential foundations for strength
but now that linear gains have ended its time to switch to an intermediate program to utilize periodization
