Rogue One is a stand alone film. The entire purpose of that film was to bridge the gap between episodes 4,5, and 6 (the original movies from the 70s and 80s) to the ones they're making now (force awakens, last Jedi).

The ones from the 00s directed by Lucas are the original trilogy that set up the other 6 movies. For some reason when dude was adapting these books to the big screen dude decided to start in the middle.

so yo i didn't read the thread but i always thought the star wars franchise - particularly the initial trilogy - has been horribly overrated. maybe if i was born in the seventies i'd fuck with this shit, but i don't.

genddy's clone wars miniseries was dope, though. watch it.

Now the protagonists have a real mountain to climb against a angsty teenager however will they do it. An how the fuck did leia survive an what was the point in her surviving. She offered nothing to the plot thereafter her revival makes us much sense as the fucking album.

I’ve come to the conclusion that this movie has officially ruined what Star Wars was or could have been. Disney is shooting for a reboot and to franchise this shit like Marvel. Luke’s overall story arc is ridiculous now.
