Intro
Sup. Pretty cool week. Lotta no-shows again and they all seem to be with the new sign in’s, so that’s gotta be sorted somehow. I dunno why they all no-show, cos regular email updates get sent out about the league ‘n all that. Strange. Anyway. New champ! Ouch is the new WBL champ after beating Mercules in a cool battle. Props to him. Resin and Corey won their battles so they’re gonna be facing each other this week in the contendership match, should be a dope battle. Troublesome beat Glocks in last weeks contendership match, so he’s gonna be facing ouch in the champ match this week.
New Rule
Yeah, new rule time. The battlers in the champ match don’t have to vote. I’m doing this for 2 reasons. Firstly, because I don’t want a champ match decided on links. And secondly, because the champ really gets no perks being champ. This way they get a bit of a break from voting and its deserved because they’re champ. Obviously the people in the champ match should still be good ‘n vote, as it’d be cool if they could vote anyway, but they don’t have to.
Battle Reviews
WBL Championship Match: 1. ouch (4-0) vs 2. Mercules (6-1)
Mercules dropped first and his verse wasn’t bad, he had some cool stuff like a stick up bar and a lash out bar that I liked. The rest of his verse didn’t hit all that hard I didn’t think, it’s just his style in a way, iono. But yeah, some of his stuff was pretty bland. Ouch dropped dope though. Hit after hit, it was a dope verse. Too many punches to name. Check the top punches section for them all. Ouch seems to have properly shook the rust off now ‘n he’s droppin what he’s capable of. Cool stuff. Yeah, ouch won this pretty comprehensively and became the 2nd ever WBL champion.
WBL Contendership Match: 3. Troublesome (5-1) vs 4. Roger Glocks (6-1)
Troublesome dropped a pretty cool verse. He had a brooke bar that was tight, I was really feelin that. And he also had an unleash bar that I was feeling. The rest of his verse were near misses I think, some ok stuff but nothing outstanding. Glocks was much the same. He had an at large bar that was cool. He had some disgustin stuff in there though, like an Elton John bar, yuck, it made me cringe reading it. Troublesome won this.
5. Ex-Kal (6-1) vs 6. Resin M-I-C (3-0)
Kal dropped alright. He had a PSYCH bar that I thought was really funny, and a book bar that I was feeling. What’s up with the LMFAO’s ‘n stuff after your punches? A real man doesn’t laugh at his own jokes! This bar did make me laugh though just cos of the LMFAO at the end:

Ahaha, what the hell. Resin dropped a cool verse as usual. He had a nice course bar, a shirt-take off bar that was mad creative, a bar that clowned Kal on laughing at his own lines ‘n that hit hard, a took its course bar and a melanin bar that was dope as hell. Yeah, Resin killed this. Kal came cool, but Resin just dropped better.
7. Richard Corey (3-0) vs 8. Mike V (5-2)
Mike dropped ‘n his verse was kinda corny. He had a laid often bar that was really tight, but other than that it was just a pretty bland verse. Corey had a nice next to Mike bar that I was liking, other than that I wasn’t feeling anything. Corey dropped just enough to win and he took it.
9. Urban Legend (4-1) vs 10. Sound (4-2)
Sound thought Urban was no-showing so he dropped 4 lines that he’d already wrote. They were both decent bars as well, he had a legend nameplay that was nice. Urban dropped ok, but both his punches were pretty bland. Sound won this for the legend nameplay.
11. Phil Benjamin (2-1) vs 12. F5TH Dawg (2-0)
Phil dropped first and his verse was alright. He has a nice vibe to his verses and his wordings pretty good, but his concepts aren’t as good as they could be. If he dropped some nicer concepts and worded them well then he’d be a force, but he hasn’t been doing that lately. F5TH dropped a nice verse. He had a few dope punches. A division bar that was tight ‘n creative, a land-phil nameplay that was dope and a powerhouse bar that was nice as fuck. Tight verse overall, and F5TH took it pretty easy.
13. Phryme (2-0) vs 14. Prosecutor (2-0)
Prosecutor wins via no-show.
15. J-Nyce (4-2) vs 16. Nick Fletcher (3-1)
Pretty onesided battle in the end. I really wasn’t feeling Nick’s verse, it had a very stale feel to it and loadsa the concepts I’ve seen before. Blueprints, Fracture, spilled milk, sloped, all played and boring. He had a Hewlett Packard bar that coulda been good, but it was worded weird. J-Nyce came better. He had a strong army bar that was cool, and a cow lick bar that was funny. J-Nyce won.

headless verseman won via no-show.
19. $pitacular (1-1) vs 20. Kapernikus (1-1)
Kapernikus didn’t drop a great verse, the black hole bar was the best in his verse, it was pretty good. Drop the slashes though, they give off a newb vibe. Spit dropped better. He had a sorry bar that’s prob been used before, but I thought he worded it nicely and it hit hard. I was feelin the Kap’s bar as well, that hit nicely. $pit won this easily.
21. Intricate (2-1) vs 22. kungfugrip (1-0)
Intricate won via no-show.
23. Vaskez (1-0) vs 24. Lampejo (1-0)
Vaskez won via no-show.
25. BISHOP (1-0) vs 26. Defcon_5 (4-2)
BISHOP got banned for biting. Defcon_5 won.
27. Adolf Oliverclose (4-3) vs 28. Sonny Dimez (3-2)
Eh, boring battle. Adolf dropped first and his verse was pretty bland. I wasn’t really feelin much in it. Same deal with Sonny, he came with a rushed ‘n bland verse. I thought he had more creative concepts though. The stab at it bar was good. Adolf won this though.
29. HotDogVendorMan (4-2) vs 30. Nick James (1-2)
Wow, upset. Nick James won this. Iono how cos his verse wasn’t very good. But then again HDVM’s verse was worse. Nick had quite a few played concepts, like a left eye bar and an occupation bar that’s played on HotDog. He had an overshadow bar that’s played as well, but I liked the way he worded it. I wasn’t really feeling anything in HotDog’s verse. The LeBron bar was prob the best. So yeah, upset, Nick James won like 8-2.
31. Axel Foley (1-1) vs 32. Alamo (1-1)
Alamo won via no-show.
33. Mr. Q (1-1) vs 34. Untold (2-2)
Untold won via no-show.
35. Mark Blaze (2-1) vs 36. RCG Tiburon (0-1)
RCG wrote a story to Mark Blaze, it wasn’t a battle verse really. So yeah, it was whack. Blaze’s verse wasn’t all that great, but he had more than enough to win. Mark Blaze won.
37. D.C. Writer (0-1) vs 38. N.Tavarez (0-0)
N.Tavarez won via no-show.
39. DaTrusHurtz (0-0) vs 40. Trunks (0-0)
DaTrusHurtz won via no-show.
41. Te Ora (0-0) vs 42. pharmacist (0-0)
pharmacist dropped nothing good, I wasn’t feeling his verse at all. I think he has potential though so we’ll see how he does in the coming weeks. Te Ora dropped nice. He had a stem bar that was tight, a top down bar I was really feeling and a Flo bar that was real nice. I didn’t even get the Flo bar at first when he showed me on AIM, shup, I was tired. But yeah, it was nice. Te Ora won.
43. Aeral (0-0) vs 44. Yung Impression (0-0)
This was onesided. Aeral sweeped it pretty much. He had a Peyton’s bar that I was feelin, I dunno if it’s played, but I ain’t seen it before so I liked it. He had an adore bar that coulda been nice but the wording was so bad on it, it totally ruined it. Yung didn’t drop much, I liked the DaShadyBoard bar, but that was about it. Yung keeps changing styles and he gives up after it doesn’t work for a week, just stick with a style and you’ll get better with the weeks. I prefer this 2 line style over the 3 line one you used to use. Aeral won.
45. LG (0-0) vs 46. Ender (0-0)
Ender won via no-show.
47. Drazen Petrovic (0-0) vs 48. Area51 (0-0)
This ended up being a pretty one-sided battle, in the favour of Area51. It wasn’t a particularly great battle, seemed quick from both sides. I was feelin the Area51 nameplay Drazen dropped, that was about all I liked from his verse. And Area51 had a kick bar that was pretty good. Area51 won this.

Troublesome seems to have pretty much shook all the rust off now, so that’s good. He’s a 3x RBL champ and people seem to forget that, he’s got skills. Ouch dropped dope last week though and he cruuushed Mercules, so I don’t see ouch losing here. Ouch to win.
WBL Contendership Match: 3. Resin M-I-C (4-0) vs 4. Richard Corey (4-0)
Oooh shit, dopeness. They’ve faced each other twice before, and it’s currently tied at 1-1. Richard Corey beat Resin in the WBL champ match a while back to take his title, and ironically Resin beat Richard Corey in the BBL champ match a while back to take his title. So it’s tied up and this battle will put one or the other in the lead in the series. Corey seems to be using this old school keystyling style though, and if he uses it here Resin will crush him. If Corey tries and goes back to how he writes normally, then he’ll definitely stand a chance, but if he doesn’t he won’t. I’ve got a feeling that Resin is gonna take this whatever happens though, he’s just been dropping consistently dope for a while now.
5. F5TH Dawg (3-0) vs 6. Prosecutor (3-0)
Iono how Prosecutor got here, I think he’s only had 1 proper battle. It don’t matter though, cos F5TH is a lot better than him and F5TH will win this.
7. Sound (5-2) vs 8. J-Nyce (5-2)
These two have beefed in the past so it should make for a cool battle. J-Nyce is aight, but he still drops some played stuff in his verses. I’m feelin Sound more, he tends to come with a cool style and some hard hitting punches. I’ve got Sound taking this.
9. Mercules (6-2) vs 10. Ex-Kal (6-2)
Both got crushed last week. Their verses weren’t bad though, just not enough to beat their opponents. I think Kal has good weeks and bad weeks, and I’ve got a feeling this is gonna be a bad week, resulting in Mercules taking it.
11. headless verseman (3-1) vs 12. $pitacular (2-1)
I haven’t seen a proper unrushed headless verse for a while so I dunno what he’s really capable of anymore. $pit dropped pretty good last week, and I think this will be close, but Spit will edge it.
13. Intricate (3-1) vs 14. Vaskez (2-0)
Intricate really shouldn’t be this high. In fact, neither should Vaskez. Both have got here from no-show wins, can’t really blame them though. Vaskez is the better battler and he should win.
15. Defcon_5 (5-2) vs 16. Adolf Oliverclose (5-3)
Defcon was losing to BISHOP but it turns out that BISHOP bit his whole verse, so he got the win. His verse was aight though. Adolf dropped a pretty bland verse last week, I wasn’t feelin it all that much. I’ve got Defcon taking it.
17. Nick James (2-2) vs 18. Alamo (2-1)
Nick James sneaked here after beating a weak HDVM verse, and Alamo got a no-show win. I think Alamo is pretty nice, he drops some cool stuff and I also see him getting better as the weeks go by. I’ve got Alamo winning here.
19. Untold (3-2) vs 20. Mark Blaze (3-1)
Untold got no-showed against last week and picked up the win, where as Blaze beat an awful verse from RCG Tiburon who got booted. I think Untold is better than Blaze, so I’ve got Untold taking this.
21. Axeshun (2-0) vs 22. N.Tavarez (1-0)
I ain’t seen much from Axeshun lately, but he was pretty decent when he was in the league before. N.Tavarez is nicer I think though, so I’ve got Tavarez taking this.
23. Aeral (1-0) vs 24. DaTrusHurtz (1-0)
Should be a cool battle. Aeral dropped decent last week and DaTrus is a good battler. I think that DaTrus is fresh where as Aeral hasn’t battled for a little while so DaTrus should take it.
25. Ender (1-0) vs 26. Te Ora (1-0)
I still haven’t read anything from Ender because he had a no-show last week. Te Ora dropped tight though so he’ll win.
27. Area51 (1-0) vs 28. Funeral Holmes (1-0)
Area51 dropped ok last week, nothing all that special though. I dunno anything about Funeral Holmes, so Area51 to win.
29. ScarInk (0-1) vs 30. Mike V (5-3)
ScarInk is lucky I left him in. I still dunno how good he is so Mike V should win this.

This could be a pretty decent battle. Both have a lotta potential so they could prove themselves here. It’ll be pretty close but I’ve got Urban Legend taking it, I think he’s more polished with concepts than Phil.

Nick hasn’t been dropping great lately, I dunno why though cos I used to like his stuff. I dunno if he’s rushing or if he just isn’t trying. Praps a combination of both. Kapernikus hasn’t dropped great either, and he needs to ditch the slashes. Nick Fletcher should win this.
35. Sonny Dimez (3-3) vs 36. pharmacist (0-1)
pharmacist dropped pretty awful last week, he’s close to being booted if he doesn’t step it up. Sonny dropped his usual rushed shit and caught a loss. Sonny will win this though.

Drazen didn’t drop great last week, Yung didn’t either but he dropped better than Drazen. I’ve got a feeling this will be a close one with Yung just about getting the win.

A couple of week backs when he was in the contendership match I wouldn’t have believed he was worthy of being here, but after he dropped a tight verse against Merc and won the title, I have no doubts.

Aeral – He started off whack around 6 months ago or so and I wasn’t really feelin his verses, even though he beat me. But then he stepped it up and became pretty nice before taking a long break. He’s at about the above average mark now, so within a few weeks he should be nice again.
Phil Benjamin – This is a risky decision putting him here as I dunno if he cares enough to become dope. He’s got the talent but he’ll just have to put the effort in to drop to a high standard.
Top 10 Power Rankings
10. DaTrusHurtz/N.Tavarez – They’re in the same spot cos they can’t really be separated, both got no-show wins last week and both are about on the same skill level as each other. I also think both will do well in the league.
9. Te Ora – I was really feeling his verse last week, he dropped some real nice stuff. Like I said, he’s got the Resin style where he can make a concept out of a single word, and that’s a cool style to have. He has a nice swagger as well. I see him doing well.
8. headless verseman – He has the skill to be nice, yet he seems to get caught up in various other stuff like extensions, beef and caring about his opponent more than his own verses. It’s up to him whether or not he drops nice, and you can’t always rely on him for that.
7. $pitacular – He’s been dropping some decent stuff lately, but he hasn’t had any real hard competition yet. That could change against headless if headless drops how he can. It’ll be a chance for Spit to show his skills.
6. Sound – When he’s on his game, he can be very nice. It’s when he rushes that he’s not all that tight. But he’s got J-Nyce this week, and that’s a goldmine for personals and the like. Add that to the fact he’s got beef with him and you’ve got a motivated battler right there.
5. F5TH Dawg – I like him, he’s a nice battler. Pretty much came out of no where and started beating a lotta people. If he up’s his consistency and adds a haymaker or two to the amount he’s already dropping he could champ this league.
4. Troublesome – He’s this low because I don’t see him beating ouch. Unless he drops the best verse of his WBL tenure, then I don’t think he’s gonna beat an on form ouch. He could come close though, as he’s a nice battler.
3. Richard Corey – He’s been using this keystyling style lately, ‘n like I said earlier, he better not use it against Resin. He can definitely beat Resin though, as he’s proved in the past. So he could be champ very soon.
2. Resin M-I-C – 3 weeks of dope verses, that’s what Resin’s dropped. He’s not rusty, he’s not washed up. He’s fresh and ready. Dude’s been droppin nice stuff, and I can see him becoming champ very soon.
1. ouch – I had some concerns about him last week after he didn’t drop great, but he dropped a tight verse that was definitely worthy of a champ match. I see him beating Troublesome then facing either Corey or Resin, and he could even beat them cos he’s on form at the moment.

Aight things are looking cool. Got some nice battles lined up and some good heads. This is undoubtedly the best battle league on the net, it’s kinda sad that there are actually zero straight battle alternatives that even come close out there. So tell ya friends, get them to sign up if they’re nice and let’s build this league up even more. Make sure you vote, a few people got penalised for it and were lucky that other people voted to save them really. That’s harsh also, if people are voting on your battle then you should vote on theirs. Also, hit up the closer matches more. If you see that a battle is 5-0 in favour of someone, then don’t vote, look for another battle that’s closer or has less votes. So yeah, cool week next week. Resin-Corey should be dope. Sup. Pretty cool week. Lotta no-shows again and they all seem to be with the new sign in’s, so that’s gotta be sorted somehow. I dunno why they all no-show, cos regular email updates get sent out about the league ‘n all that. Strange. Anyway. New champ! Ouch is the new WBL champ after beating Mercules in a cool battle. Props to him. Resin and Corey won their battles so they’re gonna be facing each other this week in the contendership match, should be a dope battle. Troublesome beat Glocks in last weeks contendership match, so he’s gonna be facing ouch in the champ match this week.
New Rule
Yeah, new rule time. The battlers in the champ match don’t have to vote. I’m doing this for 2 reasons. Firstly, because I don’t want a champ match decided on links. And secondly, because the champ really gets no perks being champ. This way they get a bit of a break from voting and its deserved because they’re champ. Obviously the people in the champ match should still be good ‘n vote, as it’d be cool if they could vote anyway, but they don’t have to.

WBL Championship Match: 1. ouch (4-0) vs 2. Mercules (6-1)
Mercules dropped first and his verse wasn’t bad, he had some cool stuff like a stick up bar and a lash out bar that I liked. The rest of his verse didn’t hit all that hard I didn’t think, it’s just his style in a way, iono. But yeah, some of his stuff was pretty bland. Ouch dropped dope though. Hit after hit, it was a dope verse. Too many punches to name. Check the top punches section for them all. Ouch seems to have properly shook the rust off now ‘n he’s droppin what he’s capable of. Cool stuff. Yeah, ouch won this pretty comprehensively and became the 2nd ever WBL champion.
WBL Contendership Match: 3. Troublesome (5-1) vs 4. Roger Glocks (6-1)
Troublesome dropped a pretty cool verse. He had a brooke bar that was tight, I was really feelin that. And he also had an unleash bar that I was feeling. The rest of his verse were near misses I think, some ok stuff but nothing outstanding. Glocks was much the same. He had an at large bar that was cool. He had some disgustin stuff in there though, like an Elton John bar, yuck, it made me cringe reading it. Troublesome won this.
5. Ex-Kal (6-1) vs 6. Resin M-I-C (3-0)
Kal dropped alright. He had a PSYCH bar that I thought was really funny, and a book bar that I was feeling. What’s up with the LMFAO’s ‘n stuff after your punches? A real man doesn’t laugh at his own jokes! This bar did make me laugh though just cos of the LMFAO at the end:

He had a nice course bar, a shirt-take off bar that was mad creative, a bar that clowned Kal on laughing at his own lines ‘n that hit hard, a took its course bar and a melanin bar that was dope as hell. Yeah, Resin killed this. Kal came cool, but Resin just dropped better.
7. Richard Corey (3-0) vs 8. Mike V (5-2)
Mike dropped ‘n his verse was kinda corny. He had a laid often bar that was really tight, but other than that it was just a pretty bland verse. Corey had a nice next to Mike bar that I was liking, other than that I wasn’t feeling anything. Corey dropped just enough to win and he took it.
9. Urban Legend (4-1) vs 10. Sound (4-2)
Sound thought Urban was no-showing so he dropped 4 lines that he’d already wrote. They were both decent bars as well, he had a legend nameplay that was nice. Urban dropped ok, but both his punches were pretty bland. Sound won this for the legend nameplay.
11. Phil Benjamin (2-1) vs 12. F5TH Dawg (2-0)
Phil dropped first and his verse was alright. He has a nice vibe to his verses and his wordings pretty good, but his concepts aren’t as good as they could be. If he dropped some nicer concepts and worded them well then he’d be a force, but he hasn’t been doing that lately. F5TH dropped a nice verse. He had a few dope punches. A division bar that was tight ‘n creative, a land-phil nameplay that was dope and a powerhouse bar that was nice as fuck. Tight verse overall, and F5TH took it pretty easy.
13. Phryme (2-0) vs 14. Prosecutor (2-0)
Prosecutor wins via no-show.
15. J-Nyce (4-2) vs 16. Nick Fletcher (3-1)
Pretty onesided battle in the end. I really wasn’t feeling Nick’s verse, it had a very stale feel to it and loadsa the concepts I’ve seen before. Blueprints, Fracture, spilled milk, sloped, all played and boring. He had a Hewlett Packard bar that coulda been good, but it was worded weird. J-Nyce came better. He had a strong army bar that was cool, and a cow lick bar that was funny. J-Nyce won.

He had a sorry bar that’s prob been used before, but I thought he worded it nicely and it hit hard. I was feelin the Kap’s bar as well, that hit nicely. $pit won this easily.

Wow, upset. Nick James won this. Iono how cos his verse wasn’t very good. But then again HDVM’s verse was worse. Nick had quite a few played concepts, like a left eye bar and an occupation bar that’s played on HotDog. He had an overshadow bar that’s played as well, but I liked the way he worded it. I wasn’t really feeling anything in HotDog’s verse. The LeBron bar was prob the best. So yeah, upset, Nick James won like 8-2.

WBL Championship Match: 1. ouch (5-0) vs 2. Troublesome (6-1)
Troublesome seems to have pretty much shook all the rust off now, so that’s good. He’s a 3x RBL champ and people seem to forget that, he’s got skills. Ouch dropped dope last week though and he cruuushed Mercules, so I don’t see ouch losing here. Ouch to win.
WBL Contendership Match: 3. Resin M-I-C (4-0) vs 4. Richard Corey (4-0)
Oooh shit, dopeness. They’ve faced each other twice before, and it’s currently tied at 1-1. Richard Corey beat Resin in the WBL champ match a while back to take his title, and ironically Resin beat Richard Corey in the BBL champ match a while back to take his title. So it’s tied up and this battle will put one or the other in the lead in the series. Corey seems to be using this old school keystyling style though, and if he uses it here Resin will crush him. If Corey tries and goes back to how he writes normally, then he’ll definitely stand a chance, but if he doesn’t he won’t. I’ve got a feeling that Resin is gonna take this whatever happens though, he’s just been dropping consistently dope for a while now.
5. F5TH Dawg (3-0) vs 6. Prosecutor (3-0)
Iono how Prosecutor got here, I think he’s only had 1 proper battle. It don’t matter though, cos F5TH is a lot better than him and F5TH will win this.
7. Sound (5-2) vs 8. J-Nyce (5-2)
These two have beefed in the past so it should make for a cool battle. J-Nyce is aight, but he still drops some played stuff in his verses. I’m feelin Sound more, he tends to come with a cool style and some hard hitting punches. I’ve got Sound taking this.
9. Mercules (6-2) vs 10. Ex-Kal (6-2)
Both got crushed last week. Their verses weren’t bad though, just not enough to beat their opponents. I think Kal has good weeks and bad weeks, and I’ve got a feeling this is gonna be a bad week, resulting in Mercules taking it.
11. headless verseman (3-1) vs 12. $pitacular (2-1)
I haven’t seen a proper unrushed headless verse for a while so I dunno what he’s really capable of anymore. $pit dropped pretty good last week, and I think this will be close, but Spit will edge it.
13. Intricate (3-1) vs 14. Vaskez (2-0)
Intricate really shouldn’t be this high. In fact, neither should Vaskez. Both have got here from no-show wins, can’t really blame them though. Vaskez is the better battler and he should win.
15. Defcon_5 (5-2) vs 16. Adolf Oliverclose (5-3)
Defcon was losing to BISHOP but it turns out that BISHOP bit his whole verse, so he got the win. His verse was aight though. Adolf dropped a pretty bland verse last week, I wasn’t feelin it all that much. I’ve got Defcon taking it.
17. Nick James (2-2) vs 18. Alamo (2-1)
Nick James sneaked here after beating a weak HDVM verse, and Alamo got a no-show win. I think Alamo is pretty nice, he drops some cool stuff and I also see him getting better as the weeks go by. I’ve got Alamo winning here.
19. Untold (3-2) vs 20. Mark Blaze (3-1)
Untold got no-showed against last week and picked up the win, where as Blaze beat an awful verse from RCG Tiburon who got booted. I think Untold is better than Blaze, so I’ve got Untold taking this.
21. Axeshun (2-0) vs 22. N.Tavarez (1-0)
I ain’t seen much from Axeshun lately, but he was pretty decent when he was in the league before. N.Tavarez is nicer I think though, so I’ve got Tavarez taking this.
23. Aeral (1-0) vs 24. DaTrusHurtz (1-0)
Should be a cool battle. Aeral dropped decent last week and DaTrus is a good battler. I think that DaTrus is fresh where as Aeral hasn’t battled for a little while so DaTrus should take it.
25. Ender (1-0) vs 26. Te Ora (1-0)
I still haven’t read anything from Ender because he had a no-show last week. Te Ora dropped tight though so he’ll win.
27. Area51 (1-0) vs 28. Funeral Holmes (1-0)
Area51 dropped ok last week, nothing all that special though. I dunno anything about Funeral Holmes, so Area51 to win.
29. ScarInk (0-1) vs 30. Mike V (5-3)
ScarInk is lucky I left him in. I still dunno how good he is so Mike V should win this.
31. Urban Legend (4-2) vs 32. Phil Benjamin (2-2)
This could be a pretty decent battle. Both have a lotta potential so they could prove themselves here. It’ll be pretty close but I’ve got Urban Legend taking it, I think he’s more polished with concepts than Phil.
33. Nick Fletcher (3-2) vs 34. Kapernikus (1-2)
Nick hasn’t been dropping great lately, I dunno why though cos I used to like his stuff. I dunno if he’s rushing or if he just isn’t trying. Praps a combination of both. Kapernikus hasn’t dropped great either, and he needs to ditch the slashes. Nick Fletcher should win this.
35. Sonny Dimez (3-3) vs 36. pharmacist (0-1)
pharmacist dropped pretty awful last week, he’s close to being booted if he doesn’t step it up. Sonny dropped his usual rushed shit and caught a loss. Sonny will win this though.
37. Yung Impression (0-1) vs 38. Drazen Petrovic (0-1)
Drazen didn’t drop great last week, Yung didn’t either but he dropped better than Drazen. I’ve got a feeling this will be a close one with Yung just about getting the win.
39. Sureloc Holmes (0-0) vs 40. soze (0-0)
I’ve seen some of Sureloc Holmes stuff, he’s pretty average I think. I dunno anything about soze. Guess, Sureloc to win.
41. D. Silver (0-0) vs 42. Heychoo (0-0)
I dunno either. Guess, D. Silver no-shows and Heychoo wins.
43. Define (0-0) vs 44. Bar Tender (0-0)
I dunno either. Guess, double no-show.

Top 20 Breakdown
This is a new section that I’m gonna do where I breakdown each competitor in the top 20, and then at the end I’ll say if they’re worthy of being in that position.
1. ouch (5-0)
A couple of week backs when he was in the contendership match I wouldn’t have believed he was worthy of being here, but after he dropped a tight verse against Merc and won the title, I have no doubts.

2. Troublesome (6-1)
Hm, I’m on the fence about him. I think he has proved himself though, and as the weeks have gone by he’s got better and better. I think he’s just about worthy of being here.

3. Resin M-I-C (4-0)
No doubts about this one. He’s dropped dope verses consistently, that’s all that needs to be said.

4. Richard Corey (4-0)
His verses have been below par compared to what he can drop, due to this old school stuff. But I think he’s gonna step it up against Resin and drop a tight verse. So yeah, he should be here.

5. F5TH Dawg (3-0)
He’s been dropping tight verses. I think he’s gonna be in the champ match in 2 weeks. No doubts about him.

6. Prosecutor (3-0)
He hasn’t really earnt his way here and his verses aren’t that great anyway, so I don’t see him as being a top 20 battler, let alone ranked 6. He may have elevated over the weeks since he’s joined though, by battling in other leagues etc. But he shouldn’t be this high.

7. Sound (5-2)
He’s a strange battler, as some weeks he drops fire and other times he drops weak plain stuff. I think he’s got the ability though, so I’m gonna say he’s worthy.

8. J-Nyce (5-2)
His verses still have quite a lot of played stuff in them, and that brings them down a lot. As the wording is pretty good. I think he’s just about a top 20 head, but not at number 8.

9. Mercules (6-2)
He lost pretty heavily against ouch last week but his verse was pretty decent and he’s been dropping consistently solid.

10. Ex-Kal (6-2)
Same as Mercules really. Crushed last week. Solid throughout his WBL run.

11. headless verseman (3-1)
I don’t think he’s really earned being this high up. He’s picked up a couple of no-shows and 1 really easy win. So while he may be a decent battler, he shouldn’t be this high based on what he’s done in the league.

12. $pitacular (2-1)
He’s dropped a couple of solid verses and picked up a couple of wins, and his only loss was a pretty narrow one. I think he’s worthy.

13. Intricate (3-1)
He hasn’t yet won a proper battle since he’s been back in the league, and I don’t rate him much as a battler anyway. So I don’t think he should even be in the top 20.

14. Vaskez (2-0)
He’s dropped nothing all that great to get here really, therefore I don’t think he should be this high.

15. Defcon_5 (5-2)
He’s lucky that he’s here as Bishop got caught biting last week, Def was losing as well. I think he tends to half ass quite a lot. But 15 is a good place for him based on how he’s dropped, so I think he fits here well.

16. Adolf Oliverclose (5-3)
I don’t really see him as a top 20 head. Some peeps feel his verses, but I personally don’t.

17. Nick James (2-2)
He’s probably the weakest in the top 20. He’s got potential at the moment, but that’s it.

18. Alamo (2-1)
I like Alamo, I think he drops some nice stuff. He’s starting to shake the rust off and he’s been dropping some cool bars, he’s just gotta improve his consistency. But I think he deserves to be here.

19. Untold (3-2)
Untold’s pretty good, he’s got a nice swagger going on. I think he’s good enough to be here, perhaps even higher.

20. Mark Blaze (3-1)
Blaze is ok, and I think 20 fits him pretty well. If he stepped it up he may be able to reach higher, but 20 is a decent spot for him based on how he’s dropped.

Potentially Dope
Aeral – He started off whack around 6 months ago or so and I wasn’t really feelin his verses, even though he beat me. But then he stepped it up and became pretty nice before taking a long break. He’s at about the above average mark now, so within a few weeks he should be nice again.
Phil Benjamin – This is a risky decision putting him here as I dunno if he cares enough to become dope. He’s got the talent but he’ll just have to put the effort in to drop to a high standard.
Top 10 Power Rankings
10. DaTrusHurtz/N.Tavarez – They’re in the same spot cos they can’t really be separated, both got no-show wins last week and both are about on the same skill level as each other. I also think both will do well in the league.
9. Te Ora – I was really feeling his verse last week, he dropped some real nice stuff. Like I said, he’s got the Resin style where he can make a concept out of a single word, and that’s a cool style to have. He has a nice swagger as well. I see him doing well.
8. headless verseman – He has the skill to be nice, yet he seems to get caught up in various other stuff like extensions, beef and caring about his opponent more than his own verses. It’s up to him whether or not he drops nice, and you can’t always rely on him for that.
7. $pitacular – He’s been dropping some decent stuff lately, but he hasn’t had any real hard competition yet. That could change against headless if headless drops how he can. It’ll be a chance for Spit to show his skills.
6. Sound – When he’s on his game, he can be very nice. It’s when he rushes that he’s not all that tight. But he’s got J-Nyce this week, and that’s a goldmine for personals and the like. Add that to the fact he’s got beef with him and you’ve got a motivated battler right there.
5. F5TH Dawg – I like him, he’s a nice battler. Pretty much came out of no where and started beating a lotta people. If he up’s his consistency and adds a haymaker or two to the amount he’s already dropping he could champ this league.
4. Troublesome – He’s this low because I don’t see him beating ouch. Unless he drops the best verse of his WBL tenure, then I don’t think he’s gonna beat an on form ouch. He could come close though, as he’s a nice battler.
3. Richard Corey – He’s been using this keystyling style lately, ‘n like I said earlier, he better not use it against Resin. He can definitely beat Resin though, as he’s proved in the past. So he could be champ very soon.
2. Resin M-I-C – 3 weeks of dope verses, that’s what Resin’s dropped. He’s not rusty, he’s not washed up. He’s fresh and ready. Dude’s been droppin nice stuff, and I can see him becoming champ very soon.
1. ouch – I had some concerns about him last week after he didn’t drop great, but he dropped a tight verse that was definitely worthy of a champ match. I see him beating Troublesome then facing either Corey or Resin, and he could even beat them cos he’s on form at the moment.

Aight things are looking cool. Got some nice battles lined up and some good heads. This is undoubtedly the best battle league on the net, it’s kinda sad that there are actually zero straight battle alternatives that even come close out there. So tell ya friends, get them to sign up if they’re nice and let’s build this league up even more. Make sure you vote, a few people got penalised for it and were lucky that other people voted to save them really. That’s harsh also, if people are voting on your battle then you should vote on theirs. Also, hit up the closer matches more. If you see that a battle is 5-0 in favour of someone, then don’t vote, look for another battle that’s closer or has less votes. So yeah, cool week next week. Resin-Corey should be dope. Oh also, it’s dope the amount of replies people dropped on the mag and in the chat threads. That was cool to see, so keep it up. Peace.
