Quite a lot of peeps have been doing that and they’ve been getting loadsa votes and their battles closed ‘n finished early. Some cool stuff went down this week, a surprise in Gunslinger beating Merc with a real tight verse. And we’ve got a new champ..

WBL Championship Match: 1. Sound (11-3) vs 2. Fracture (8-1)
Pretty cool battle. Sound dropped nice to start ‘n it looked like he had a chance of takin it. His 3 wishes bar was hilarious, it made me laugh a lot, same deal with the light bulb bar. Both hit hard as well. He used a Raps Murderer bar though, which he shouldn’t have done as that’s the 3rd week in a row its been used against Frac now. Frac dropped cool. He came consistent. The batman bar was tight, I was feelin that, ‘n the mag punches bar was funny as well. Good verse overall. Pretty close battle, but Frac jus edged it to become the new champ, and the first ever 2x champ. Props to Frac.
WBL Contendership Match: 3. Mets (7-2) vs 4. Justify (5-0)
Justify won via no-show.
5. Mercules (11-4) vs 6. The Gunslinger (4-0)
Pretty onesided battle really. Gunslinger dropped some real creative stuff ‘n surprised Merc in the process. He had a day-z’s line that was really dope ‘n a blue moon bar that was pretty funny. He started off slow but picked it up pretty quick. Good verse overall. Merc dropped okish, he didn’t have anything really stand outish in his verse though. Gunslinger took it pretty easy.
7. N.Tavarez (6-2) vs 8. $pitacular (7-3)
N.Tavarez won via no-show.
9. Urban Legend (8-3) vs 10. F5TH Dawg (6-1)
Pretty solid battle. Urban dropped decent, ‘n he had a palm bar that I’ve never seen before and that I was feeling. It hit really hard. The rest of his verse was pretty average. F5TH dropped cool. He had a corvette line that was nice ‘n a tick off bar that was pretty funny. F5TH took this.
11. Te Ora (5-1) vs 12. kungfugrip (2-0)
Pretty fresh battle. Te Ora dropped first and he dropped decent. Had an x’s bar that was really fresh ‘n tight, I was feelin that. I also liked his sex lines bar, that was nice as well. Kung came cool as well. His grade school dance bar was tight, ‘n the rising star thing was brutal. Close battle, but kung took it.
13. ill nik-A (2-0) vs 14. styk figer (3-1)
styk dropped aight, his verse got really samey really quick though. He uses the same type of concepts and wording style in most of his bars, he needs to try mixin it up. Nik-a came ok as well, he had a nice styk and move nameplay that I was feeling. Nik-a took it.
15. Spit That (2-0) vs 16. Nique (3-1)
Ok battle. Nique dropped first and she dropped pretty decent. Had a threads bar that I quite liked, nicely worded ‘n hit hard. Spit That dropped aight, he came consistent but had no real standouts. Nique won.
17. John Hensley (2-0) vs 18. casper (2-1)
This was a weak battle, but still onesided. Casper had nothing I was feeling, he used some played nameplays on Hensley and he had other weak stuff. Hensley didn’t drop his usual hotness. He was quite consistent though, ‘n more polished, so he took it.
19. HotDogVendorMan (3-2) vs 20. Area51 (1-1)
Aight battle. HDVM dropped ok, some creative stuff but I don’t really like his style. Like Merc said, his concepts get bogged down in long ass wording and it kills the directness for me. Area dropped better. He had a palm line that was really dope. Area took it in an upset.
21. dog tags (1-1) vs 22. butler (1-0)
lmao, dog tags still doesn’t fully understand this rhyming thing. JEFF DOES NOT RHYME WITH TAGS. Damn man. Wasn’t feelin his verse much. Butler came better. He had a house bar that was funny, ‘n a glass jaw bar I liked. More than enough to win, ‘n butler took it.
23. David Lama (1-0) vs 24. Out Writechas (2-1)
David Lama won via no-show.
25. Phil Benjamin (1-0) vs 26. Mr Marvellous (3-3)
Not a great battle. Marvellous used some really stupid ‘n obscure concepts, that just made me groan. He had some ok stuff though I guess. Phil didn’t drop great, he had little variety in his verse. Marvellous won.
27. TEF (3-1) vs 28. Apex (1-0)
Apex had some pretty creative bars, nothing special 'n a few were sorta old but they were still creative. Cars bar was pretty funny. Sound was ok. TEF had the long stretched lines bar but the rest I wasn't really feelin. Apex got it ‘n won this.
29. Ace Heratoga (1-0) vs 30. Kapernikus (5-5)
Ace had a lot of played stuff, ‘n some recycled stuff as well. So yea, he didn’t drop all that great, seems like he’s shakin rust. Kapernikus dropped ok, he’s getting better still. Entitled bar was alright. Kap won.
31. Bayou (3-1) vs 32. grams (1-0)
Bayou dropped aight. He had a Mandalay bar that was clever, ‘n an Arsenal bar that probably only me and Rhymeageddon will get. Grams didn’t drop anything I was feelin really, so I’d have had Bayou takin it. But grams got the win.
33. Spek (1-0) vs 34. J. SutherLand (1-1)
Weak battle, but still onesided. Spek didn’t drop great at all, nothing in his verse worked really. Sutherland didn’t drop good either, I really didn’t like his verse. But Sutherland still had a better verse, ‘n he took it easy.
35. RCG Tiburon (2-3) vs 36. Mariah (1-2)
I can’t help but read Mariah’s verse with a stereotypical posh English accent. Anyway, RCG dropped nothin special really. He’s elevating very slowly. Mariah dropped eh as well, she had a better verse but nothing in it was great. Mariah took it.
37. V. Vega (2-3) vs 38. Meta Syn (0-1)
Vega won via no-show.

Red Hooks seems to have potential, but he didn’t drop great here. Peeps were quotin a rich boy line, but that’s already played. ‘N he used a Bangkok-Iraq line, when Bangkok is in Thailand lmao. Deity dropped ok. His opener was funny. ‘N he took it pretty easy.

Not a great battle. Tek focused on Hussle’s name a lot ‘n some of his stuff hit I guess. Hussle didn’t really come with anything, his verse seemed quickly written. Tek was better ‘n he took it by a lot.

Unexpected contender for the title here, I don’t think anyone would have expected this. Justify’s a cool battler though ‘n he’s earned his place, but beating Frac? Iono. Frac’s showed more than enough times that he’s still got it, ‘n his only loss is because of a no-show. I’ve got Fracture taking it.
WBL Contendership Match: 3. The Gunslinger (5-0) vs 4. N.Tavarez (7-2)
This is a pretty unexpected contendership match as well, but a potentially good one as well. Tavarez came through ‘n took the win against $pit due to a no-show, where as Gunslinger flawlessed Merc ‘n got verse of the week. If Gunslinger can show the level of creativity he showed last week, with a good degree of consistency, then he’ll take it.
5. F5TH Dawg (7-1) vs 6. kungfugrip (3-0)
Another candidate for best battle of the week. Two dudes who will be future legends facin off against each other, it’s gonna be hot. F5TH beat Urban last week with a cool verse, ‘n kungfu dropped some hella creative shit against Te Ora. This will be close, ‘n it could come down to who wants it more, but I’ve got kung taking it due to the experience edge.
7. ill nik-A (3-0) vs 8. Nique (4-1)
Ooh this should be nice. Battle of the Ni’s or something. Nik-a has been dropping pretty cool for the few weeks he’s been in the league, ‘n Nique has been doing the same. I’ve got a feeling that Nique will step it up here though, allowing her to take the win.
9. Sound (12-4) vs 10. Mercules (11-5)
These two have battled a couple of times, when Sound was Write On, and I believe Merc came out with the win both times. I see it being different here though, as Sound has been dropping solid for a good minute now, where as Merc’s still sorta inconsistent. Sound to win.
11. John Hensley (3-0) vs 12. Area51 (2-1)
Area51 is getting better every week, he’s got the potential to be great. But Hensley is already great, and while he didn’t drop great last week, I don’t see him slacking here. Hensley to win.
13. butler (2-0) vs 14. David Lama (2-0)
Potential battle of the week here. Butler faced Lama a while back in the old WBL, ‘n Lama surprised butler by takin the win. But butler seems to be at his best with regards to wording, ‘n as I don’t see him sleeping on Lama, so I see butler taking the win. Should be a cool battle.
15. Mr Marvellous (4-3) vs 16. Te Ora (5-2)
Te Ora lost to kungfu in a pretty close ‘n nice battle, where as Marvellous edged out a win against Phil Benjamin in a not so nice battle. Te Ora is the better battler, so he should take it.

Spit That narrowly lost to Nique last week in a decent battle, ‘n Apex edged past TEF. So Spit That should get this if he shows.

Kapernikus is getting better every week, but he’s still only been battling 11 weeks. Styk’s been doin it longer, so I got him taking it.

Sutherland is pretty creative, but his verses have a very samey feel to them. Grams is aight. I got Sutherland taking this.
23. V. Vega (3-3) vs 24. Automatic (1-0)
Automatic is pretty decent, he got to the finals of the LLL Playoffs back when it was actually good. He’s a bit rusty, but he’s still decent. Vega isn’t great. Automatic to win.
25. Ancel (1-1) vs 26. Rhymeageddon (1-0)
Rhymeageddon may still be really rusty, I’m not sure, he prob is. Which will leave Ancel to take this, so Ancel to win.

Potentially Dope
Area51 – He’s an up ‘n comer who’s only recently been showing off his skills. Has a really tough battle against Hensley this week, which I don’t expect him to win, but he could make a name for himself by dropping a hard verse.
David Lama – Picked up a couple of easy wins so far, but he has the hardest battle of his tenure as of yet, in butler. Can we do it? Well, he has before, but he’ll have to drop tight as hell to pick up the win again this time.
Mercules – Merc’s been inconsistent for most of his text career, he can beat the dopest heads, but then he always seems to slip up against lesser known ones. He has the skills to beat Sound this week, but I’m not sure if he will.
Pharoahe Def – The last ever WBL champion in the old WBL, so that shows he’s nice. It’s kinda weird him signing in, cos I was jus talking about him a couple of days back. About how at one point he was champ of the WBL, champ of the HBL and in the championship match of the RBL. If he’d of won the RBL match he’d have been champ of all 3 leagues at once, something that had never ever been done. Sadly, he was facin butler ‘n he lost. But still, that shows how good he is. Or was, he’s a bit rusty from what I last saw of him, so let’s hope he shakes it off quick ‘n starts droppin fire again.
Roger Glocks – He seems to be going through a dry patch lately, ‘n he himself even says so. He’s nice though, so once he shakes that off then he should be droppin cool again.
Spit That – Narrowly lost to Nique but his past accomplishments show that he’s tight. If he shows up this week then he should be moving up the rankings again.
Sound – Dropped out of the power rankings due to the amount of competition in them, but I’m expecting him to beat Mercules and move right up in there again. He’s been getting better every week as well.
Te Ora – He dropped a cool verse against kung last week, but still got beaten. He had that dope as hell algebra punch though, ‘n if he can come with a couple more of those haymakers then he’ll be ill.

10. John Hensley – He’s dropped below butler due to his verse last week, which he rushed ‘n turned out to be not very great. Still, it’s a small blip ‘n he’ll win this week to move up the ranks.
9. butler – He’s still dropping the creative stuff even though he doesn’t really need to lately, he’s had some easy opponents. That changes this week against Lama though, so he’ll have to drop cool in that battle.
8. ill nik-A – nik-A’s come back after what seemed like a hiatus, ‘n he’s been dropping cool. Dude’s nice with it, but he’s got a tough battle against Nique this week, so we’ll have to see how he’ll do against her.
7. Nique – She’s a nice head and she’s been dropping some cool stuff. She’ll have to have a few haymakers to get past nik-A, but she’s capable and I think she’ll be able to do it.
6. N.Tavarez – I’ve got him this low as I don’t see him beating Gunslinger. He probably has the skill to, but after Gunslinger’s verse last week I don’t see him doing it. He’s a nice head though ‘n could surprise me.
5. F5TH Dawg – F5TH is a potentially dope head, well, he’s very good anyway, but he’s still got some experience to gain before he becomes legendary. Can he beat kungfu? I think he can if he comes his best, but he really does have to drop his best.
4. kungfugrip – Dude’s won some pretty big leagues before in his time, along with champing tournies and stuff, so he’s got the skills definitely. He’s a nice battler and will prob be in the champ match in a couple of weeks.
3. The Gunslinger – Someone told me that he thought Gunslinger was Lieutenant, so that’s a pretty big compliment, considering Loot had the longest undefeated streak in WBL history. He isn’t Loot though, so it’s cool to see new talent coming through. He’s hella creative, but a bit inconsistent, so he’ll have to improve on that to have a chance of becoming champ.
2. Justify – He’s earned his place by dropping some pretty cool verses. Dude’s done well to get this far, ‘n he seems to study the game so he’ll improve based off of that as well. Does he have it in him to beat Fracture? We’ll have to see.
1. Fracture – Yea, he took the title by beating Sound like expected, ‘n he dropped a pretty good verse. He’s seemingly got a few easy enough title defences before facing the tougher competition, so he should be champ for a lil while yet.

WBL Championship Match: 1. Sound (11-3) vs 2. Fracture (8-1)
Pretty cool battle. Sound dropped nice to start ‘n it looked like he had a chance of takin it. His 3 wishes bar was hilarious, it made me laugh a lot, same deal with the light bulb bar. Both hit hard as well. He used a Raps Murderer bar though, which he shouldn’t have done as that’s the 3rd week in a row its been used against Frac now. Frac dropped cool. He came consistent. The batman bar was tight, I was feelin that, ‘n the mag punches bar was funny as well. Good verse overall. Pretty close battle, but Frac jus edged it to become the new champ, and the first ever 2x champ. Props to Frac.

Justify won via no-show.
5. Mercules (11-4) vs 6. The Gunslinger (4-0)
Pretty onesided battle really. Gunslinger dropped some real creative stuff ‘n surprised Merc in the process. He had a day-z’s line that was really dope ‘n a blue moon bar that was pretty funny. He started off slow but picked it up pretty quick. Good verse overall. Merc dropped okish, he didn’t have anything really stand outish in his verse though. Gunslinger took it pretty easy.

Pretty solid battle. Urban dropped decent, ‘n he had a palm bar that I’ve never seen before and that I was feeling. It hit really hard. The rest of his verse was pretty average. F5TH dropped cool. He had a corvette line that was nice ‘n a tick off bar that was pretty funny. F5TH took this.
11. Te Ora (5-1) vs 12. kungfugrip (2-0)
Pretty fresh battle. Te Ora dropped first and he dropped decent. Had an x’s bar that was really fresh ‘n tight, I was feelin that. I also liked his sex lines bar, that was nice as well. Kung came cool as well. His grade school dance bar was tight, ‘n the rising star thing was brutal. Close battle, but kung took it.
13. ill nik-A (2-0) vs 14. styk figer (3-1)
styk dropped aight, his verse got really samey really quick though. He uses the same type of concepts and wording style in most of his bars, he needs to try mixin it up. Nik-a came ok as well, he had a nice styk and move nameplay that I was feeling. Nik-a took it.
15. Spit That (2-0) vs 16. Nique (3-1)
Ok battle. Nique dropped first and she dropped pretty decent. Had a threads bar that I quite liked, nicely worded ‘n hit hard. Spit That dropped aight, he came consistent but had no real standouts. Nique won.
17. John Hensley (2-0) vs 18. casper (2-1)
This was a weak battle, but still onesided. Casper had nothing I was feeling, he used some played nameplays on Hensley and he had other weak stuff. Hensley didn’t drop his usual hotness. He was quite consistent though, ‘n more polished, so he took it.

Aight battle. HDVM dropped ok, some creative stuff but I don’t really like his style. Like Merc said, his concepts get bogged down in long ass wording and it kills the directness for me. Area dropped better. He had a palm line that was really dope. Area took it in an upset.

Predictions
WBL Championship Match: 1. Fracture (9-1) vs 2. Justify (6-0)
Unexpected contender for the title here, I don’t think anyone would have expected this. Justify’s a cool battler though ‘n he’s earned his place, but beating Frac? Iono. Frac’s showed more than enough times that he’s still got it, ‘n his only loss is because of a no-show. I’ve got Fracture taking it.
WBL Contendership Match: 3. The Gunslinger (5-0) vs 4. N.Tavarez (7-2)
This is a pretty unexpected contendership match as well, but a potentially good one as well. Tavarez came through ‘n took the win against $pit due to a no-show, where as Gunslinger flawlessed Merc ‘n got verse of the week. If Gunslinger can show the level of creativity he showed last week, with a good degree of consistency, then he’ll take it.
5. F5TH Dawg (7-1) vs 6. kungfugrip (3-0)
Another candidate for best battle of the week. Two dudes who will be future legends facin off against each other, it’s gonna be hot. F5TH beat Urban last week with a cool verse, ‘n kungfu dropped some hella creative shit against Te Ora. This will be close, ‘n it could come down to who wants it more, but I’ve got kung taking it due to the experience edge.
7. ill nik-A (3-0) vs 8. Nique (4-1)
Ooh this should be nice. Battle of the Ni’s or something. Nik-a has been dropping pretty cool for the few weeks he’s been in the league, ‘n Nique has been doing the same. I’ve got a feeling that Nique will step it up here though, allowing her to take the win.
9. Sound (12-4) vs 10. Mercules (11-5)
These two have battled a couple of times, when Sound was Write On, and I believe Merc came out with the win both times. I see it being different here though, as Sound has been dropping solid for a good minute now, where as Merc’s still sorta inconsistent. Sound to win.
11. John Hensley (3-0) vs 12. Area51 (2-1)
Area51 is getting better every week, he’s got the potential to be great. But Hensley is already great, and while he didn’t drop great last week, I don’t see him slacking here. Hensley to win.
13. butler (2-0) vs 14. David Lama (2-0)
Potential battle of the week here. Butler faced Lama a while back in the old WBL, ‘n Lama surprised butler by takin the win. But butler seems to be at his best with regards to wording, ‘n as I don’t see him sleeping on Lama, so I see butler taking the win. Should be a cool battle.
15. Mr Marvellous (4-3) vs 16. Te Ora (5-2)
Te Ora lost to kungfu in a pretty close ‘n nice battle, where as Marvellous edged out a win against Phil Benjamin in a not so nice battle. Te Ora is the better battler, so he should take it.
17. Apex (2-0) vs 18. Spit That (2-1)
Spit That narrowly lost to Nique last week in a decent battle, ‘n Apex edged past TEF. So Spit That should get this if he shows.
19. styk figer (3-2) vs 20. Kapernikus (6-5)
Kapernikus is getting better every week, but he’s still only been battling 11 weeks. Styk’s been doin it longer, so I got him taking it.
21. grams (2-0) vs 22. J. SutherLand (2-1)
Sutherland is pretty creative, but his verses have a very samey feel to them. Grams is aight. I got Sutherland taking this.
23. V. Vega (3-3) vs 24. Automatic (1-0)
Automatic is pretty decent, he got to the finals of the LLL Playoffs back when it was actually good. He’s a bit rusty, but he’s still decent. Vega isn’t great. Automatic to win.
25. Ancel (1-1) vs 26. Rhymeageddon (1-0)
Rhymeageddon may still be really rusty, I’m not sure, he prob is. Which will leave Ancel to take this, so Ancel to win.
27. Mariah (2-2) vs 28. Lethargic (1-0)
Mariah is okish, Lethargic is okish. This should be a pretty close battle, but I think Lethargic is more polished, so he should win.
29. Deity (1-0) vs 30. casper (2-2)
casper is ok, he seems to be deluded about his own skill though. Deity is decent; his verse last week seemed pretty quick so I expect nicer stuff from him this week. Deity to win.
31. HotDogVendorMan (3-2) vs 32. Tek (1-0)
Tek got an easy win over Hussle, but he didn’t drop anything great. HotDog has wording problems in my opinion, but he’s more creative ‘n polished so he should take it.

dog tags should take this, he’s really gotta sort out his rhymes though. Try www.rhymezone.com I think he’s got a weird accent or something, like, a really weird accent. Ender is ok, but tags has the better style ‘n he’s more creative so he should win.

TEF is aight, Ace is decent but still a bit rusty. Ace has more skill ‘n on paper he should take it but it could go either way, still, Ace to win.

RCG needs to start elevating fast to have a chance in this league. Phil is alright, ‘n he should take it.

Red Hooks is ok ‘n has potential, but Glocks is better, so Glocks will take it.

Potentially Dope
Area51 – He’s an up ‘n comer who’s only recently been showing off his skills. Has a really tough battle against Hensley this week, which I don’t expect him to win, but he could make a name for himself by dropping a hard verse.
David Lama – Picked up a couple of easy wins so far, but he has the hardest battle of his tenure as of yet, in butler. Can we do it? Well, he has before, but he’ll have to drop tight as hell to pick up the win again this time.
Mercules – Merc’s been inconsistent for most of his text career, he can beat the dopest heads, but then he always seems to slip up against lesser known ones. He has the skills to beat Sound this week, but I’m not sure if he will.
Pharoahe Def – The last ever WBL champion in the old WBL, so that shows he’s nice. It’s kinda weird him signing in, cos I was jus talking about him a couple of days back. About how at one point he was champ of the WBL, champ of the HBL and in the championship match of the RBL. If he’d of won the RBL match he’d have been champ of all 3 leagues at once, something that had never ever been done. Sadly, he was facin butler ‘n he lost. But still, that shows how good he is. Or was, he’s a bit rusty from what I last saw of him, so let’s hope he shakes it off quick ‘n starts droppin fire again.
Roger Glocks – He seems to be going through a dry patch lately, ‘n he himself even says so. He’s nice though, so once he shakes that off then he should be droppin cool again.
Spit That – Narrowly lost to Nique but his past accomplishments show that he’s tight. If he shows up this week then he should be moving up the rankings again.
Sound – Dropped out of the power rankings due to the amount of competition in them, but I’m expecting him to beat Mercules and move right up in there again. He’s been getting better every week as well.
Te Ora – He dropped a cool verse against kung last week, but still got beaten. He had that dope as hell algebra punch though, ‘n if he can come with a couple more of those haymakers then he’ll be ill.
Top 10 Power Rankings
10. John Hensley – He’s dropped below butler due to his verse last week, which he rushed ‘n turned out to be not very great. Still, it’s a small blip ‘n he’ll win this week to move up the ranks.
9. butler – He’s still dropping the creative stuff even though he doesn’t really need to lately, he’s had some easy opponents. That changes this week against Lama though, so he’ll have to drop cool in that battle.
8. ill nik-A – nik-A’s come back after what seemed like a hiatus, ‘n he’s been dropping cool. Dude’s nice with it, but he’s got a tough battle against Nique this week, so we’ll have to see how he’ll do against her.
7. Nique – She’s a nice head and she’s been dropping some cool stuff. She’ll have to have a few haymakers to get past nik-A, but she’s capable and I think she’ll be able to do it.
6. N.Tavarez – I’ve got him this low as I don’t see him beating Gunslinger. He probably has the skill to, but after Gunslinger’s verse last week I don’t see him doing it. He’s a nice head though ‘n could surprise me.
5. F5TH Dawg – F5TH is a potentially dope head, well, he’s very good anyway, but he’s still got some experience to gain before he becomes legendary. Can he beat kungfu? I think he can if he comes his best, but he really does have to drop his best.
4. kungfugrip – Dude’s won some pretty big leagues before in his time, along with champing tournies and stuff, so he’s got the skills definitely. He’s a nice battler and will prob be in the champ match in a couple of weeks.
3. The Gunslinger – Someone told me that he thought Gunslinger was Lieutenant, so that’s a pretty big compliment, considering Loot had the longest undefeated streak in WBL history. He isn’t Loot though, so it’s cool to see new talent coming through. He’s hella creative, but a bit inconsistent, so he’ll have to improve on that to have a chance of becoming champ.
2. Justify – He’s earned his place by dropping some pretty cool verses. Dude’s done well to get this far, ‘n he seems to study the game so he’ll improve based off of that as well. Does he have it in him to beat Fracture? We’ll have to see.
1. Fracture – Yea, he took the title by beating Sound like expected, ‘n he dropped a pretty good verse. He’s seemingly got a few easy enough title defences before facing the tougher competition, so he should be champ for a lil while yet.

Some dope battles are set up for this week, and the league is the biggest it has ever been I believe. So yea, shits looking hot. The WBL, undoubtedly the best league on the net by so much that it’s really kinda sad that it has no competition. That should be the new tag line for this league, ‘n it’s all down to you, the battlers, for droppin hot and voting well. So mad props to everyone on that.
