Ask any car enthusiast what they prefer to drive. Ask anyone not in the US what the average for their country is when it comes to cars. Even here in Norway I would never buy an automatic car, it's known as a car for people who don't know how to drive equivalent to a tricycle.

The main reason we stick to manuals is because people prefer to actually drive and handle the car, not just push buttons. That's what women do.

^Not my words. I actually don't give a fuck. You do you boo, but that's the general consensus everywhere else. I still wouldn't buy an automatic car tho, the hazing would be brutal.

I've only ever owned manual transmission cars

Well, except the RX-8 but I got rid of it after like 4 months. Automatic cars are fucking gay.

im too retarded for manuals yo

i work on, in some capacity like 20ish cars a week and i never learned. i can't do it without stalling them constantly or skirrrrtttin or almost running into shit. i just put them in neutral and push them, or have an underling move them.

at this point its principle. i refuse to learn this outdated technology.

but yea i mean i can ride dirtbikes/4 wheelers etc, letting clutches out/shifting fine. but something about a car throws me

granted i also have the mental block of refusing to do it though

and in reality maybe 1 out of every 100, might even be a bigger ratio of the cars i work on are manual.

I dont understand the AVERSION to it tho?

It used to make sense in terms of speed and shifting perfect etc in regards to racing and shit. But now automatics are better even at that.

Im not and never was a car guy tho. They do nothing for me. So the whole mentality behind it is alien to me.
