Overall was a good battle here felt that Des messed up with wording here and there. I understood the concepts, maybe the execution and wording was off, just made it not all flow together that nice imo. Habitat on the other hand felt that his verse flowed together better. And maybe to other people its played but that Jump the Gun line I liked a lot, if it wasn't for that I think this would be pretty even. Think Habitat got this one, was pretty close. Props to both. Decent read for sure

One of the things that is sticking out to me a lot is wordplay and how its executed.

2 examples:
because the way Deserter is by being a dead beat "dad" who's Never Around

Deserter/des hurt her. Phonetically this works, but reading it in the bar it should work 2 ways. As it is written it's just a gibberish sentence. Low level wordplay.

I can read this sentance using hab n aero, or habenero and it's a proper sentence in both instances. Higher level wordplay, much trickier to pull off.

des prob had the best two bars with chalkboard and Cambridge closely followed by jump the gun by fresh. After that prob fresh's opener, des's opener and fresh's closer. After that i def preferred fresh's worst two to des's. In the end i prob got fresh just edging to fresh this time on consistency. Good battle though.

2 quotes are towards Des he had lotb w/ habanero and chalkboard was pretty good too. Had had good consistency, no clear misses but Des didn't have bad misses so he takes it on the weight of quotes alone.
