did you even read what i posted? im not putting myself in a fair fight in any arena, be it a gym/mat/or street. my skills are i'm 6'1 like 245 right now fat man thugging lmao. i know how to set my feet and throw a right hand. i'm throwing that while someone is popping shit and or not paying attention. if that fails, i failed. then it resorts to quickly grappling and animalistic fighting

this is a general discussion - not even for bjj, but for random guy in a bar vs. anyone with lengthy experience.

nobody experienced is getting caught with a sucker punch. further, almost anyone who does any kind of regular training over a period of time is not going to put themselves in a situation to get sucker punched in the first place as they know the consequences of fighting outside of the gym. it just isn't worth it. egos are stupid and your legs are the best self defense you've got. de-escalate as much as possible.

you're also overconfident in your ability to set your feet and swing as well - if you don't believe me, go to a boxing, muay thai, kickboxing, etc. gym and ask them what they think.
