tried circling the side of the pic for better accuracy. i know we got lifters and old people here in general who may have run the chance of ruining a joint so help da god out.
i can't pinpoint when exactly i hurt it, i think it was tuesday, but my knees are always rundown sore and achy. tuesday was pretty busy though and i helped take a bed off a truck, like a truck bed and we had to fight it off so im thinking maybe the crouching and busting it off the bolts couldn't helped (but i don't remember any pain from it) alot of my job is being crouched like this cool motherfucker here
https://thumb1.shutterstock.com/display_pic_with_logo/1672675/146076986/stock-photo-executive-crouching-cheerful-mature-businessman-sitting-crouched-and-looking-at-camera-while-146076986.jpg
except im holding a DA/sander and walking around the car in that position, like down the whole side, occasionally kneeling and leaning to get under rocker panels etc, and sometimes i'll hold it static for awhile if im fixing something in a particular area and don't have a stool etc cuz im moving fast. but alot of times just moving like that can strain the knees and if i stand and twist weird i can get pains here and there too but im always working fast paced and just thug it out.
but wednesday i woke up to pain to the left of my kneecap. sharp pain, any time i put weight on that leg or engage the knee at all. it lessens a bit when i use it though, like crouching and stuff, im putting most weight on my left though and just bending the right out of necessity but not ENGAGING it. so i worked through it wednesday. thursday morning i woke up to swelling and tightness, but the swelling was only noticeable when the knee was bent. like it pushed the swelling out of the other side of the knee, where the pain is at there isn't REALLY swelling, its there but word.
worked through it thurday and friday with it being slightly worse each day but i had like a compression knee brace/sleeve thing on which didn't help pain as much as distract from it with the feeling of uncomfortable shit.
now, since i've been limping and favoring it for days, my achilles/calf is tight as fuck and sore because its picked up the slack from my awkward gait. this morning the pain was badddd but its the same spot and im not swollen cuz i've been icing the fuck out of it after work.
arthritis/meniscus/mcl?
i don't think its mcl or any serious ligament damage because there is no instability, i guess it could be a strain? i dunno. im not thinking arthritis because im pretty sure the normal pain and aches were arthritis, im thinking a minor meniscus tear in that section
what are the chances of it healing if i continue to work on it and just hot and cold treatment it after work? its bad enough to require xrays i think just from the debilitating aspects but i don't want to go through the system unless i become completely debilitated by it. i can still favor it and just use mechanic type stools to roll around cars instead of crouch. but when moving stools/chairs side to side i get pops and shit moving in there
really this was just an incredibly long venting post since i woke up and the pain is still there but if the NC docs want to chime in have at it. or ignore.

Go to a doctor?
I got a bad knee when it rains sometimes
I wana help but u typed too much
So I don’t understand the nature of ur injury
Is it like swollen wit liquid inside ?
I've experienced quite the knee problems growing up from football, running track/hurtles and baseball, but everyone is different.
Sounds like MCL issue from all the crouching repetitive motion of up/down.
All the hot pockets uh oh stuff down his throat went directly to his knees

I never had knee issues personally. I guess be happy it's not ur shoulder ... Knee surgery is like 100% accurate these days
uh-oh
06-23-2018, 01:53 PM
word my right shoulder is bad too but its bearable because i can limit the range of motion when the pain strikes and it comes and goes. but i mean i can pop and crack it at will. loud cracks. like cracking a knuckle but my shoulder. im sure its more bone shit. bone spurs and grinding etc as opposed to muscle/ligament damage
but word i got a pretty nice heat pad wrapped around it now, kicked back chilling fucking off
im just going to alternate hot and cold all weekend, its rainy as shit all weekend. just gonna find some games to play and shit to watch and just rotate hot and cold and see how its doing.
i tend to sit cross legged alot though and i never noticed it until i couldn't.
but word
edit- also i seen bakers cyst while googling, isn't that for sure. the back of my knee is fine no lumps/pain or anything. its all up front just to the left of the kneecap (like the inner side of my right leg)
Witty
Can I, with confidence prescribe him Organic apple cider vinegar now LOL?
15ML with 8oz of water twice daily.

Outside of knee is LCL. I have a torn one right now. Super fun time! Stayed off the mats for 2 weeks even though they told me 3. RICE it and if you can get a hard brace.

Bro... Sometimes you gotta sack up and go to the Dr. Being manly and working through injuries is just dumb. A smart man would just get it looked at.

Also... If you get hurt on the job or have long term issues due to the job, you can get reimbursed. Don't be dumb and fuck your shit up for life and not get looked at cuz then you're fucked.

That’s a common juijitsu injury, no?
From straining the ligements in the direction the knee isn’t meant to bend. Like left/right instead of forward and backwards?

my pops went the workers comp route im familiar with the process
im not going through that until its absolutely necessary, if i go through work i gotta go through those motions, if i just make an appointment on the side without going through work then im fucked if i end up missing work because of it.
im thinking worst case its a minor meniscus tear, maybe an mcl sprain. its just pain and some swelling
if i had stability problems, or if it gets progressively worse im not going to have a choice
but i'd rather grit it out until necessary. its not like it gives out. i just get sharp pains if i step or put weight on it wrong. so it suckkks but its not super fucked, yet.

Your mcl is on the inside side of your knee.

ive just done a shit job of explaining it, was about to again but realized how it could be read wrong depending on the vantage, my left vs someone elses etc. so here is another pic
http://i67.tinypic.com/ekf9et.jpg
all swelling is internal im sure (the stiffness of the joint) but the swelling thats noticeable externally is on the opposite side. no pain there at all though. just puffy when i bend the knee like if i try to bring my knee to my chest. all the pain is on the inside of the joint. its exacerbated if im turning/changing direction/rotating the foot/shin. i couldnt circle the actual back of the calf, but the lower calf is now tight as shit because of walking funky which i tried to circle. its almost like i've been tip toeing with my right to relieve pressure on the knee so thats sore. but thats just muscle soreness from overworking that specific part
but word that should clear it up. i don't think its any CL. i think its the meniscus if not just a flare up of legit arthritis? but i don't know how serious arthritis is because ive always had aches and shit

Bruh. Real talk. Start taking care of yourself. Please.
Sounds like your MCL man... See a doctor.
Apparently you can get some blood spun (from you) & injected in2 the joint to relieve pain, I think it allows the platelets & plasma to isolate from other blood components...could be wrong though.

sunday evening update.
woke up, it felt alot better. i'm thinking yeaaaa another day of hot and cold treatment being next to comatose relaxing and i should be good to go for the week ahead
the coffee kicked in. i gotta shit. i head to my bathroom and remember i forgot my phone on my desk. so i turn to pivot and ODSAFIHSFOHBAS painnnnnnnnnnn, wiggly sensations AGHHHH. its been worse than ever since then. i didn't like PLANT and cut like im running and shit, i just went to turn around, but that slight twisting in me forgetting it was hurt, because it genuinely felt at least 50 percent better just caught it.
i still think its the meniscus because of when in the bend, and where it hurts. i just think its legit tore now.
i most likely will go to the hospital from work tomorrow to get it looked at. my only problem is i have health insurance, like i pay for it from work, but i never received a card and i've been putting off calling them and shit. so i dont know how any of that works.
but word. the update is all bad. its just strange because 1 out of every 5 steps feels normal, but 4 out of every 5 is WTF don't WALK ON THIS

Just get the carrier name from ur work and the hospital can call them to verify it's active and what type of coverage u have

the xrays show fluid in the joint, they gave me a knee immobilizer and took me off work a couple days and i'm supposed to go back with restrictions like that is possible lol.
im supposed to follow up with an orthopedic doctor, it said to schedule and appointment between 2-4 days, but the soonest they can see me is july 18th
so i gotta figure out something i dunno i hate this fucking shit. but word its probably the meniscus since that doesn't show up in xrays and the paperwork they gave me said its usually injured from crouching/twisting which is what it is. but i think i need an mri to see that
i also gotta get the x-rays before going to the orthopedic doc, why wouldn't they just give me that there tho wtf now i gotta go back and get those
ITS A RACKET I SAY
Ghost1
06-25-2018, 10:30 AM
word I skipped all that bullshit an just got an mri for my shoulder cuz I know people here at the hospital. its definitely a racket...........yanow we could always start trying to work towards universal health care :)

free market would be cheaper and more simple. the problem is the over regulation, more regulation wouldn't help matters. YA FUCK. i'd rather just go to freddie g's mri shop inbetween the deli and check cashing spot. then run over to an orthopedic surgeon who can hook me up and has to have competitive rates to be profitable in the marketplace
but yea 36 phone calls later, i got an email copy of my id card for my insurance, and my follow up appointment thursday.
i had my vacation scheduled two weeks from now but i might see if i can't just burn it this week and just get this all figured out now.

maybe if our government had a track record of being able to manage money it would begin to make sense. but even if somehow the government wasn't completely inept in that regard, it would be a god damn nightmare to see a doctor.
so while the sentiment of free health care for everyone is something no one should be against
in practice anyone with any form of intelligence can see its a disaster. but like most leftist policies, they don't care for the practicalities of anything, just the sentiment behind them.

I'm still grunting away in the construction industry. I always get pain in my right knee, shoulders and back. I got me some CBD Slave and put it on before bed and before work. Been doing it for a year or so and it's done wonders.

word my left knee is usually my problem knee, but by fridays theyre both usually rundown. my mid back is fucked from shit posture and picking up things like a troglodyte. which i just googled and realized is my new aka. but yea when my knee got hurt i thought oh well i'll rest it but this is the first time its stayed hurt. no improvement and i can't really walk on it at all. i mean i can warm it up and hobble around but i couldn't see me being halfway productive
they weighed me on the scale though and im fatter than i've ever been.
whats the most ya'll ever weighed?? im 263. i'm a fucking DT in the 80's what HAPPENED. but word its gotta be my main problem im thinking. i just continued working like i was 220 while continually knowingly getting fat.
but im down to the last of my coca colas in the fridge, and im stocked up on salad shit (lettuce/spinach) and meats. gonna try and go keto like a trendy faggot and see if i don't die of ketoacidosis because i probably have untreated diabetes at this point lmao
but word 263 was alarming. at my fattest i was 260, a few years out of work, doing nothing but making beats. the fact i got past that, WHILE working at least 40 hours a week busting ass let me know im old and my metabolism was like wtf is happening.
wish i coulda made it to 30 like my goal i set. was relishing these days of gluttony but its the last night tonight.
waters veggies and meats from now til eternity. except sundays i will still gorge on pasta to appease the gindaloon in me. so i'll probably never be actually keto but still. figure its better than a diet of coca cola and deep fried everything

nothing more on the job front yet, but i'll be going back monday and babying it/trying to.
had my follow up with a specialist today, he thinks its either the meniscus or just general cartilage, but apparently insurance (which im running through workers comp) doesn't pay for mri's unless they show they've tried treating it. so i got a giant cortisone shot and instructions to just keep babying it. if nothing changes i'm supposed to go back and get an MRI and they'll probably go in and clean it up since im young enough for that to be an option or some goofy shit.
so basically im still fucked. the hope is the cortisone shot masks the pain enough to work on it but i need to rest as much as possible and hope is it heals during the duration. think they said it lasts like 5-6 weeks.
hope this shit works i don't want surgery and more doctor visits. shit is the worst

Sounds rough man.
i have ligament issues most my adult life from tearing my meniscus in my late teens.
only ever had sprains but fuck me are they painful. and awkward.
i should go through my doctors and get recommended to a specialist for the mri and whatnot but i can't be fucked. i'll just keep playing football until it blows again.

WORD
you've given me hope. cuz this fucking thing feels exactly the same as when it first really started bothering me last thursday. i've done NOTHING. i've been kicked back in my giant office chair with my leg up with a compression sleeve on it. icing it when i can remember lol. but anytime i move im strapping this leg immobiliser on to make sure im not bending it and have gotten no relief at all. its exactly as bad as its always been. i thought i was tweaking it again here and there. because it would feel almost ok. just unsteady from my own paranoia in my mind. but then it would be back LIKE SDAGHISDGH. but the guy was saying thats why he thinks it could be the meniscus
cuz if its torn, it can be in place, and feel ok, but when the pain hits its because since its torn it moves out of place.
i've been spending money like an arabian oil baron though on amazon. bought a ridiculous brace, bought a new stool to scoot around the shop on and shit. just trying to think of ways to avoid going back to the doc.
i guess the cortisone shot could take 24-48 hours to kick in, but the problem with that is its not going to help if it is the meniscus, thats just for normal inflammation/arthritis relief. i read its just a way to non invasively narrow the problem. like if someone has arthritis, if 50 percent of their pain is gone they can be like ok only 50 percent of the pain is meniscus related
its all malarkey i say. nothing has made me feel like more of a pussy in my life though.
