I thought about this while getting my wisdom teeth...they were bad enough but kids have to get a whole mouthful of teeth through....can't imagine how horrible that must be.

I think babies don't get enough credit for the amount of pain they have to endure.

I just don't think they process pain the same esp during a long period.... short term they fall skin their knee tjey cry for a minute ... long term their tired and fussy for days ... but theirs never that shock cry when the pain for starts like when the fall or stub their toe

What I noticed with my youngest brother was he didn't register pain until we did, if he fell over and cut his knee and nobody said anything he would just get up like nothing happened, but if he fell and people rushed over to see if he was ok he would then register the pain as something that should be responded to and begin to cry....so maybe it is an adult human thing to dwell on pain, because animals don't do it either, maybe it is something we learn to do.

Sometimes showing over concern can shock them into crying... babies know when mommy or daddy are acting different like when a child falls

They also go into shock easy and it usually only last a few seconds. .. they have to process what happened then they react and its a little delayed

So yes it can def be both

Orajel is shit for babies ... I soak a clean wash cloth soak it and put it in the freezer for half an hour and it does wonders

@gow ... Tylenol is ok if you follow the amount you suppose to do and don't give them more fhen fhe recommended amount in the time frame

Yeah the shit that comes in liquid with like a makeshift syringe so you can measure the proper dose

We only used it after she had a fairly high fever for 2 days .. her first teeth didn't really bother her though .. these back ones are bigger soo maybe that's part of it
