Any of you watch these? I binged last season of TWD on Netflix before this new season started. Then binged FTWD seasons 2 & 3 and am currently on 4.

Been reading about Frank Darabont’s involvement with the show. He originally pitched it to HBO who declined the offer. After the successful and critically acclaimed first season AMC want to slash the budget by 25% per episode and have 16 episodes instead of 8-12 like other similar shows. This resulted in paper thin episodes of filler and Darabont sending hilariously scathing emails to several AMC execs about the incompetence he felt the show was being handled with.

The show could have been much better on HBO.

I used to watch TWD religiously but gave up 2 episodes into the Negan season. It just got repetitive for me and I lost interest. Never watched FTWD, I heard good things tho

I dug the walking dead when it came out. I watched up until carl was bit and in the sewers, probably a season ago? Maybe two. But it became a slog of obligation really after watching so much i felt i had to continue.

Fear the walking dead was pretty dope. I watched that up until the end of the cartel/mexican plantation and just sorta forgot about it

I watch them.

Kind of lost interest in Fear the Walkong Dead, tho.

This past season was boring as fuck.

Seen every episode of both.

TWD is much better this season.

What do you think about OL' Rick Grimes leaving?

I don't think it's permanent. I actually feel like he's going to join the FTWD cast to help boost ratings there for some reason, considering Morgan went. IDK, just my suspicion.

my woman religiously watches the walking dead and i've seen all of one episode with her.

it wasn't bad, to be fair.

but i'd rather watch anything else - i have a problem getting into things that are several seasons deep and the finish isn't in sight, so i haven't seen GoT at all. self-contained seasons like fargo are fantastic. or just... watching something once it's finished.

impatience, i guess.

Same. Although I checked out well before that. Show was clearly going to keep pumping out episodes as long as money was coming in...
