competitive but like fortnite competitive where there's lot of talent and cool people but 66% of the people are douchebags and/or don't belong
everyone thinks its where you need to be so a bunch of plebs that showed up to their first python class in college without ever going into the cmd line are now working on shitty simple ass apps for 3 years while their salesmen friends get them investors they will never be able to pay back

depends on the app
i'm lucky enough to be in a position to not need a big google job
if i did than yeah they're all well enough companies. it's not better or worse anywhere outside of start ups that have good leaders
but yeah if you've never coded, don't know anything beyond basic knowledge of computing/hardware, etc
don't go into it because it's the new thing to do. I mean play around with some stuff you'd be learning and maybe it's your calling, but yeah.. don't just say LOOKS COOL, GOOGLE MASSAGES SOUND GREAT

Well put, appreciate the time you took to answer me. Thanks knucks, I enjoyed my computer courses I took in college a lot. Rewriting the code because the program wasn't functioning properly was fun. In a rut not sure what to major in. But highly enjoyed my coding/IT courses if im being fair.

But any decent school will have connections if you make minimum effort to interact with other human beings
