Just did mine, anyone else finished?
Will we get them back in a timely fashion with Government/IRS bullshit?

Starting mine this weekend. Understanding is that the IRS was supposed to be doing training on the new tax code during the shutdown, but they couldn't, so there's probably gonna be a backlog
You should be good though

i got my state and federal stuff done and accepted a couple days ago. just waiting on that direct deposit
still waiting on my city tax form in the mail. this little whiteville suburb township im in still doesn't have any online filing, and they only accept 60 percent or some shit of what local taxes my job takes in the city i work in. also the city i work in only taxes at 1.5 percent, where the town i live taxes at 2 percent. so i'll probably have to pay 300-500 local tax
im surprised i got back almost 1000 though fed and state combined. i thought i was about to get raped since its my first year i broke the 50k number. but i must have them taking enough out each check or whatever i dunno

Damn brodie...you ever think of moving to one the larger city's...columbus, Cleveland, nati?

nah i don't fuck with the city life. i work in north canton, which is like a suburb/offshoot of canton anyways, and then i live in louisville ohio, which is pretty much the same thing just smaller and whiter with farms and shit lol. north canton was like where hoover vaccuums came from i think.
i dig canton tho cuz its like youngstown/dayton/akron. just a failed midwestern shithole. but i'm like 45 minutes from cleveland up 77 so anything i'd be interested in isn't too big of a trek. head up there for sports and comedy and shit.
columbus is by far the best city in ohio though. cincinatti is probably the worst. cleveland is terrible sure but cincy is rough

Gotcha...& word to that
If anyone isn't sure or has questions I'm constantly helping people this time of year and am down to double check your return just to make sure you're getting what you should.
IRS says they're backed up but also says refunds should be out in a normal amount of time. I doubt it will be smooth, but its hard to say. If you have any complications, audits, disputes, etc. it will take much much longer than usual. Which is already forever.

word. i just use turbotax and get it back stupid quick every year.
but i also don't have any confusing shit involved, just a single dude not trying to get any extra deductions or itemize anything or any other weird tax terms and words lol. just basically type whats in my w2 into the allotted boxes and send it out

you do turbotax or just regular type filing?
also maybe me and joog's were simple and straightforward i dunno
i also got the direct deposit though, so basically everything about mine was quick and easy on there end
Destroyer thats whatsup tho man. i cleared 50 for the first time. just under 51, and while i had months of killing it, i had lazy months in there as well. i had to redo my work tax form thing last week because our local shit changed and realized i claimed 0 as well though so that might be why i actually got a little back.

taxation is theft.
we made this country cuz england tried to tax us 3% of our income. rn gov is taxing me 43% of my entire income.
