dope battle guys..enjoyed it..but bodysnatcher ws connecting way more with his punches..more clean wordplay on his terms..but this was dope here..niice one..but i got to give it to bodysnatcher

Personally felt this was one of the better battles this week... But not the best. Body did so well last week I think he set his own bar too high because whilst this was still one of the better showings I felt it was slightly under par for what I expected. Hard to say if that effected my opinon when reading it but I tried to base it solely on its merit here. Zelph felt rushed in places an lost his momentum near end.

Anyway that being said. Felt body had the better concepts and z had the better wording. It's tight.

Z I liked the opener, not incredibly creative with the quote but it was funny an nasty. The flea follows the same critique. Funny nasty. Mr krabbs whale made me lol. Baby carriage is probably your best conceptually and worst for wording ironically. Side piece feels like it should be played. I can't think of an example. But yeah it definitely works. Thumbnail open her up was worded lovely. I didn't really care for the last two bars an found the body morgue one utterly lazy an devoid of any momentum you had going before it.

Body
Opener was ok. It wasn't crazy but as a generic it hits. Resident evil not my cup of tea tbh so reference is lost on me although I can imagine so I'm not going to put it down as a miss. Just probably will be better for people who arnt using intuition. The street fighter bar cool, bit on the swag side but I liked it. I really liked hovering over the plate because it's an American sports bar I actually fucking get. Mr clean was meh for me. Tribal necklace feels s bit like zelphs side piece where I'm sure it's played but if it is its not one I've seen in a long time an I really enjoyed how you worded it. Longhorn...now I like the idea behind this bar. But does longhorn work here?
Hated the closer tbh.

If longhorn is a gun bar which is what I'm thinking your going for it's not something I've ever heard. An that's a shame because the bar had so much potential.

For me It comes to preference and on second read I preferred the laughter from zelphs then the more intricate ideas from body.

v. BodySnatcher...those opening bars from zelph were a no go for me. the comparing penis bar was weird. Almost gave you the black girl weave line but the tie ins were eh. You had some bangers but REALLY bad misses. Body snatcher had really good wording throughout nothing nasty but a lot ok/light hits. Some were better than other but his misses were way better than Zelphs.

(So the side piece flips have been done quite a bit by itself, then the ratchet end the marriage has been done (ratchet flips in general just gonna be hard ti feel fresh cus they been done to death). I think this bar though putting both these together made it feel fresh and it wasn’t flipped exactly the same way as anything I’ve heard. I think take your heart is a good set up. Overall you spun this enough for it not to feel completely played but it still feels a bit played. I got this as a light jab)

(I ain’t a fan of dick lines but this is excellent writing. You set this up perfect. The comparing pics and finger fuck in the set up makes this work. Then pretty much the entire second line is part of the flip and has a double meaning. That’s a very long phrase to flip so flawlessly. Weird to call this line dope but it’s dope)

(Pretty good. Extensions/clip/weave flips been done which takes away from punch. Set up take away from punch as well imo cus it doesn’t have anything to do with punch and doesn’t transition to the punch well imo. (Same thing that plagued zelph in his verse in that this is a familiar concept. Arms stretch/dhalsim kinda take away from the set up. Don’t remember any breathing fire/dhalsim flip though so I thought that was good. Overall I got this landing as a jab)

(This is a good closer. I got on zelph for this so I gotta be equal in that your setup and punch were moving in different directions. I think you can do a set up and punch that aren’t related but you gotta have a transition in there or end the first bar with a punch. But you go from stabbing to shooting with no transition which kinda throw me off reading it. Anyways other than that this is a good line. Shot/Lift him off his feet was a pretty clean flip)



This was a tough battle to judge for me. You both had up and down verses to me. Both had very crisp execution, but some of the concepts I’ve seen before which took away from what otherwise would have been solid.

Zelph started out slow. That back to Africa bar wasn’t good - so you started off in the hole. YoI started heating up with the mr krabs but that baby carriage line was sick. I got that being LOTB. Ended the battle pretty consistent.

Body I though you started off solid. The middle too your verse is when it was more up and down. Had some high highs with the Hover the plate and the tribal necklace bar. You had some lows with the bald head bar and the longhorn bar.

I think you both were about even in consistency (both had highs and bars that were light) but I think Zelph had the higher highs.

I got Zelph squeaking out with the win.

I thought both verses were pretty dope. Lots of creativity, humor, punches etc. This isn't my realm at all so I might be very off with my vote but I got Body edging it.

Even tho I understand why Zunto went for penis pics instead of dick pics the line sounded a bit weird to me, beside of that it was fire.
Felt a bit uneasy about the white eyes on you line, might have just been me being a cringy white boy and overthinking "is he going over the edge or not?" Thought the following couplet was cool tho as it didn't seem as generic to me with the "go back to Africa"-bit if I should leave out the uneasiness. Enjoyed the flow throughout, overall a great verse I smiled here and there at, ok closure and a couple heavy hitters. 7.5/10

In terms of Body I definitely enjoyed the gaming references and the way they were set up (fuck those dogs tho), set ups and flow. Didn't stumble upon any lines I questioned as much and I guess that is what determined it for me as overall it's pretty close and I definitely enjoyed reading what you guys came up with. Good shit.

Pretty much tied in quotes and misses, but I got to take points off from Body here cause he had some concepts that were out of date or just been used to death. So I took off points for that which gave the edge to Zelph here. Props again to both!

Pretty tight call here, but I have Zelph.. ratchet, mr krabs and thumbnail were probably my fav concepts of the battle.. Zelph's angles were just fresher to me this go round, Body seemed to have a lot of flips on older ideas this week which is rare.. it cost him here imo..props to both
