when i heard they were taking less taxes out of payroll checks i was pretty sure that would mean refunds would be smaller, but i wasn't sure

irs reported 17% lower refunds across the board a few weeks ago

personally i've done about 15 returns for people and 90% of them are getting way less than last year, a high majority having the same income + no major differences

i kno da god likes to tout this part of the administration as a positive

but all i've seen so far is negative

literally the only difference for most of my people has been basically they paid less taxes throughout the year, so they owe more. which seemed fucking obvious who exactly is benefitting from this?

Similar on my side, even made a little more this year

i made more and got more back, but it was only 1000 fed and 300 state

also booth are you doing peoples taxes in cali? wasn't there something about those states taxing its residents more so they wouldn't notice, or was that some conspiracy nonsense by conservatards?

uh-oh

after some googling all i seen was something about raising a 10 percent state tax to 13 percent to offset the 35 percent tax to 21 on business or some shit in cali. but it effects businesses that do 1 million and more in business annually or some shit. for reference my body shop i work at does a million in business a year and we got 7 employees.

but word i mean you can just look at every metric thusfar and see that its been a good thing. job growth, unemployment etc etc.

but maybe if suzie sevenkids only got 5k back instead of 6 its a problem. even if she made more than 1k that year in her checks that didn't get taxed in the first place.

every person i've done was in the 26k - 72k range. cali, jersey, and ohio. one girl only got a few hundred less back. everyone else got $800-$2000 less back. no kids involved with any of them.

word

if they're getting taxed 20 bucks less each check though thats 1000 a year. its hard for me to tell how much less im being taxed presently because the pay raises i've got since it went into effect but i think back when it immediately kicked in it was like 20 something a week, i was at like 37kish then, im still at 50k-ish now.

but yea i dunno that sounds like the govt. is raping them. even the most hardcore lib trump haters have said that the average person should be being taxed less until like 2025 when inflation or whatever would even out

all those people in that bracket shouldve been taxed 3 percent less?

Oh, for sure. I'd have to double check but iirc I got a federal refund around 70 and only owed the state 100. Still owed, which sucks

Baggy 7 kids got about 6k back this year..... Might have been a hundred bucks lighter than last year.....idk hundred bucks up or down doesn't really make much difference or register to me

I also listed child care expenses as 9k which I literally just guessed cuz I didn't feel like waiting for the latchkey program to give me the info

I don't think I pay that much anymore....maybe 6k

So that may have gave me an extra couple hundred back I'm not sure entirely how child care expenses are monitored and weighted for refund bonuses

you get back roughly 30% of up to 3,000 for one kid. they will likely double check that one be careful

When you guys are saying you got less you mean only on the income tax right? Your still getting more in your checks?

more money on their paychecks means they paid less taxes throughout the year which basically offset on their return. which is what i thought would happen.

yea, im saying though is it breaking even, or are they losing money? either way is unacceptable.

if they're still being taxed less overall, than im trying to figure out what the gripe is.

like i was taxed less each check, and still got a return, but i don't have a point of reference since i made more money too so i wasn't sure what i'd get back or if i owed in the first place. i expected to owe money, since so little was taken each check, and i have next to nothing to deduct etc. just a single dude no dependents blah blah.

but word i'm just wondering if the people who received less on a refund, didn't make enough on their checks to more than break even. cuz its allegedly a 3 percent decrease for everyone right?

My taxes turned out ok under Trump

Granted, I am not American, and my taxes are taken and calculated automatically. But still. I haven't noticed a change since Trump came in to power.

TRUMP 2020.
