I mainly just want to hype Philly getting Djax back. They never should've let him go in the first place, the receiving corps is going to be beast next year, but the O-Line is and has always been issue #1, especially with Wentz failing to stay healthy 2 years in a row
Jags got Foles
Antonio Brown to Raiders
Flowers to Lions
Collins to Redskins
Mosley to Jets
Frank Gore on life support with the Bills
or whatever else you want to talk about

Suggs to cardinals
Weddle to rams
With mosley to jets the entire defensive leadership is gone. J.smith likely gone too. Still a retardedly talented defense, jefferson will need to step up on the back end tho in weddles place
Everyone leaving except mosley was trendi g down athletically, but the brains of the operation are gone
DeSean Jackson back to the Eagles.
Patriots looking to sign LeV Bell and potentially Danny Amendola back.

Agreed but the jets threw ridiculous money at him. Plus with onwasur and kenny young him leaving isnt truly devestating. Although onwasur is a restricted free agent so they could lose him too.
The ravens are willing to pay, just not overpay.
Also theyre in the mix for bell for some reason, even though schematically it makes 0 sense, but really who knows. We also lost suggs so they might be trying to hold onto zadarius smith, who could be due crazy money.
uh-oh
03-12-2019, 12:29 PM
Bell could go to the jets, ravens, packers, texans, or bills allegedly today
With the saints getting murray id rather have mark ingram than bell. Just scheme wise. Bells patient run ing style mixed with RPOs make 0 sense. But on third downs and just in general hes too talented.
Ingram would ball the fuck out in bmore tho. His vision combined with quick decision making, if they gave him 20 carries a game him and lamar would both rush for over 1000 easy
But again the ravens are probably doomed. Without a defense that can get teams off the field their entire offensive gameplan is in shambles. Like i said there is still a ton of talent defensively but literally everyone responsible over pre snap is gone. Weddle handled coverage switches and mosley handled the front 7. Suggs leadership and veteran mindset is gone. So even with all the talent they could look more like the jags D last year than the ravens D last year

Ravens got ravaged in off-season thus far.
AB and Trent Brown have raiders as heavy favorites in winning off season, but they also got lamarcus joyner who I am not a fan of, I think that could bite us.
Vikings just re-signed Anthony Barr too, he's a monster, apparently pulled a fast one, back tracking on a hand shake deal and is now staying put.
Uhoh, the strange thing with Ravens is they traded away a young talent in kamalei Correa last season for a late pick, he would have stepped into a nice roll here.

tbh the ravens are basically in full rebuild now. the offense was bad to begin with and now the defense is gutted of veterans and prime players.
bleak
03-12-2019, 03:25 PM
Weddle was a decent pick up in this line of veteran defenders we have going for us rn, esp. while losing Lamarcus Joyner who was a pivotal piece for us. Weddle may not be what he was but he was the starting safety on the best defense in football last year.
49ers and Seahawks did very little, but the draft is another story especially in SF. They would have been a threat in the West with Jimmy G imo.

Uhoh, the strange thing with Ravens is they traded away a young talent in kamalei Correa last season for a late pick, he would have stepped into a nice roll here.
i liked correa but he could never flourish in our D. he was too much of an inbetween guy. wasn't a great passrusher, and couldn't really play inside. so he couldve been a run stopping outside linebacker guy, but they kind of moved away from that and covet guys who can sorta cover TE's and shit.
we got tyus bowser who is basically a more athletic correa, and now with suggs gone he should factor in alot more
they had suggs on a snap count anyways, so alot more guys would rotate in. think this next year is a key year for bowser and tim williams. they compliment eachother well. we need to keep zadarius smith though. him and judon on the edges are ruthless. but williams can get after QB's he just needs to be in, bowser can do a little bit of everything but again, they have to actually use them.
i feel like im forgetting someone too. not sure. but honestly im not worried at all from a talent standpoint, just more a mental standpoint. is the young talent going to be able to diagnose plays, are they gonna play smart, like bowser for instance. he can set and hold the edge, but is he gonna play mindless and go for a pass rush and get caught slipping when his priority is to hold the edge for the run. the little shit like that.
same with the coverages, weddle would make sure everything was lined up and set. mosley would make sure everyone had their gaps etc.
the only good thing is mosley was hurt for a minute, and onwasur too (i refuse to learn to spell his name. he's just ohwahso da god) so we had plenty of our depth getting time. its moreso just getting the play and communicating
also our d.coordinator gives guys alot of free reign. which worked great when you got weddle/mosley/and suggs setting shit up. but give a bunch of guys the ability to do shit on the fly who ain't as seasoned?

I'm sorry... But D-Law shouldn't be the highest paid DE in football. But it's looking like that's what he wants. I'm thinking he's going to pull a Leveon with the franchise tag. Ohhhhh... Baseketball predicted American sports to perfection.

Didn't the Steelers offer him 5yrs / 70 last off-season?

03-13-2019, 12:10 PM
The problem is guranteed money. Bell wanted guranteed money and the steelers were only offering so much. At least thats what im reading. So the steelers couldve signed him to a 200 million dollar deal, if he got injured or they decided to cut him they only owed what he was paid already.
Its why he didnt play under the tag again. Its 14 million sure, but if he got injured he was fucked this year

I think he shouldve played, just explaining why it sort of makes sense he didnt, and also why people think this new contract is worse than what pittsburgh offered.
But ayooooo we swooped ingram. Losing mosley sucks but im pretty hype thusfar. As soon as the saints grabbed murray i wanted bmore to grab ingram. I didnt even realize he was on the outs in NO

i think he's still that. he's still easily in his prime since no one gave him the workhorse treatment, he's still got fresh legs.
its just how much will the ravens lean on them. gus is meh but the system held him up. but dixon is the truth. im sure there will be some committee. i'd like to see dixon on 3rd downs but 2/3 of the time ingram needs to be out there

I agree they got a haul compared to the steelers, but that doesn't necessarily mean they got what OBJ commanded.
He is a game-changing WR and the Browns made out better in the trade IMO, no matter who the Giants draft.

I believe both he and Haskins will still be around at #6; Giants won't have to trade up.

The raiders lost KO da god, but picking up brown and burfict gruden might not be a complete failure.
I was hoping the ravens would snatch burfict. We got onwasur whos gonna be the smaller play everywhere inside line backer, and kenny young as the more beefy run stopping guy, but burfict wouldve been nice to let young develop more and not play every down
Earl to the Ravens is a great pick up.
