The California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) has ruled that instead of a regular 12 rounds, the pair will compete over just eight rounds. Those rounds will be only two minutes long, compared to the standard three minutes each.

The reduced time spent in the ring is partly due to both fighters refusing to use headguards, meaning the CSAC put in the extra restriction.

If either fighter suffers a cut, then the fight will be stopped, and no knockouts are allowed.

To further reduce the damage done to both men, fighters will be required to wear 12-ounce gloves to soften the blows exchanged.
Just became more interested in smith/clark ...

Tyson looks hungry but Jones has the benefit of being less rusty. I still got Tyson but I wouldn’t be surprised if Jones pulls it out

It was a solid fight, they’re both legends and did their thing. I disagree about the draw, Tyson was in it to win and Jones was trynna survive. I’m not mad about them changing the stipulations because they’re both legends and I’d rather see them keep their mental and physical health going strong. I’m glad it happened, but we really don’t need another one tbh

Agree with everything you just said 100%.
Especially Mike going for blood, Roy was just trying to survive.

Mike with the W, imo.

Solid fight from Tyson and not so much Roy Jones. All he did was clinch and run to avoid being aired out and embarrassed like Nate Robinson was. Tyson looked impressive for a 54 year old who dropped about 100lbs and hasn’t stepped in the ring for 15 years. He truly displayed why he is a legend.

I don't think tyson will settle for a draw, I smell a rematch.

I feel like tyson intentionally threw more hooks to the body instead of the head. I think he was nice to roy and showed a little mercy, given the circumstances

The force of some of those body shots would've dropped roy had they been to the head
And who knows what that would've done to a 50 y/o retired boxer's brain
So I agree with the mercy, if there was any

Word. Agreed.

I just aint mad at Roy. It was wise to clinch Tyson up early in attempt to tire him out - Tyson always seemed like the fresher man though even in the latter rounds so it wasnt a good look.

Bruddahs is aged though, so i cant help but just have love for both of them at this point.
