The depths beneath, the surf, the calmer
Each wave that exerts some power
Each piped vein that works the shower
Every ship birthed, devoured.
Touching the earth, searching cowers
With each second, each turning hour.
Walls collapse & pressure seeps in
As the flow overpowers, pleasure creeps in
Methodical interest piqued by thought
Dirty secrets most would seek to wash.
Water rises & whether you breathe or not.
You are glad you finally reached the top.
