Been on a horror tip lately. I’m not gonna include anything old because frankly the old stuff from the 70s and 80s are corny to me. If you can’t name 10 name 5. I’ll start:
1. It Follows (2014)
2. The House of the Devil (2009)
3. The Descent (2005)
4. Lake Mungo (2008)
5. High Tension (French) (2003)
6. Midsommar (2019)
7. Kill List (UK) (2011)
8. The Strangers (2008)
9. The Witch (2015)
10 The Devil’s Rejects (2005)
People can hate on me for It Follows but save it.
Honorable mentions: Hereditary, Blair Witch Project, Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake, Scream, Cabin in the Woods, A Quiet Place, among others..

It follows at one is wild but I loved it personally
Idk off the top
1- blair witch
2- babadook
3- vhs
4- scream
5- paranormal activity
6- it follows
7- the strangers
8- Childs play (that fucked me up as a kid)
9- jaws
10- the visitors
It follows is really good… weird that I actually just re watched it a few days ago.
1. The original Halloween movie… not only because it was good but there is connotations of it… which is… in blockbuster during Halloween time they had on VHS the original, Michael Mysore Halloween shit on display so she thought was like a kids movie for Halloween.
Well that movie scared the shit out me and also might have been the first pair of tits I’ve seen.
I love chucky too.. childs play 3 the one where they’re in a fake army boot camp for bad kids and chucky replaces the paint ball blank rounds with actual bullets.
Tales from the hood, which was made from tales from the crypt I remember was really good too… I watched the next tales from the hood thing and it was a pharce joke, the first one was too I guess it just matters at what age and time period you watch things
Babadook was really good @ fracture
Oh something y’all niggas leaving out..

Creep good true and original halloween for sure on my top ten just dont know where

Creep was fantastic.
Yeah creep 2 was also and I wasn’t even trying to like it.. I was against it before I even watched it… and it didn’t disappoint, she was all believable.
The fake “found footage” thing has been done a million times and it’s boring… that Creep one took it and made it seem real and legitimately scary.
If you dont have The Conjuring or The Others your list is irrelevant.
A deep cut too is Sleep Away Camp.. if you have any streaming service it’ll be on there.

Not really a horror fan so iunthink I could name 10
Dark Skies was dope tho
The original Pet Cemetery scared the shit out of me as a kid as well.
When that child gets run over by the truck, that’s what nightmares are made of.
Now that I’m thinking.. fucking children of the corn
Yeah ve never seen that had to look it up ticks are fucked up.. m dog had like 10, what they call deer ticks… they suck so much blood that they can’t even move… be like that girl from Willy wonky blowing up.. and I ripped it off my dog and threw it hard to the sidewalk, shit exploded like a paintball.

This is a solid ass list. It Follows at the top is bold. I liked it a lot. So much so that I was kind of pissed off that I felt like they missed some opportunities in the final act to make it great. House of the Devil gets such low publicity, but it’s also great and low key.
I think I’d have Hereditary instead of Midsommar but Midsommar did freak me the fuck out.
Since yours was pretty spot on I’ll just name a few favorites you omitted.
Oculus
Annihilation
Aliens
Poltergeist
Event Horizon
The Crazies
Skeleton Key
House on Haunted Hill
Candyman
Hitcher
Under the Skin
Audition
Hellraiser
Rosemary’s Baby
Cube

The witch is dope.
Obviously not for everyone.
Haunting in conn. 1 and 2 are dope
Evil dead remake was real dope
Drag me to hell, which is an evil dead spin off i think, was cool
The possession is good, its about a dybuk box, i believe its in refference to one that was sold on ebay that supposedly was pretty fucked up.
The Rite is really dopr also, anothony hopkins is in it. It is based on a real persons story the real life priest that the movie is based on avtually helped with production so that it was as close to the truth as could be.
Thats it for now.
The posssession is on netflix currently, The Rite might be still as well

i watched a really bad horror movie from the 80's called demons i think when i was maybe 6 or 7 and it ruined me for weeks afterward. legit the scariest thing ever.
the first halloween, it, pet sematary and the exorcist i watched very young some time after that, they had similar but not quite as soul-destroying results.
the shining, the descent, 28 days later, the ring (japanese original), train to busan, get out, the endless are the only 'horror' flicks (using the term loosely for some of these) i can actually remember enjoying, and that's probably because i was an adult at the time.
