Presenting the SOL Season II

The format for each battle is regs, unless pics are agreed on. If you tell me you want a pic battle I will try to get you one, but no promises. The limits are 8-12 lines. It’s 2022 guys. No one wants to read a text battle let alone 5 so lets keep em short and sweet.
Schedule:
Week 1: 6/27-7/3
Week 2: 7/4-7/10
Week 3: 7/11-7/17
Week 4: 7/18-7/24
Week 5: 7/25-7/31
Week 6: 8/1-8/7
Week 7: 8/8-8/14
Week 8/Playoffs week 1: 8/15-8/21
Week 9/Playoffs week 2: 8/22-8/29
There will be a pic roast or gimmick cypher every week. Why gimmick? Because I’ve judged so many fucking vanilla cyphers and if I read another I’ll delete everything on this fucking site. If you shitfuckers overwhelmingly demand a reg cypher, I’ll just make a thread, close it right away, and give the accomp to Allen Knight.
Roasts/cyphers are open to anyone signed in or otherwise, but you must vote in most battles (including champ/contender matches) to be considered for a win. I will try to rotate judges so it isn’t just my taste dictating wins, but that’s contingent on getting guest judges. Let me know if you're interested in judging one - bonus points if you have a pic/gimmick ready to go.
Why are the playoffs so short? Because no one fucking votes on the playoffs. I’ll have some sort of formula weighing win differential and number of wins and debut it midway through the season, but the goal will be to find a balance that doesn’t overly punish someone for participating in every week or only having time to participate in 2 or 3.
The mags will be hybrid podcast and written. Anything related to my thoughts (reviews, power rankings) will be in audio form, and anything that involves posting bars (top punches, throwback battles, etc) will be in text format below. Contributions are always welcome and can be done in whatever format is easiest for the contributor. Just let me know. Easier to coordinate stuff on discord, but I’ll keep an eye on messages here.
I’m mostly interested in light, flavor things, like User’s fake interview between me and Aero or Zuch’s text memes. If you’re interested in contributing it should not be a massive time investment.
Battles will go up Mondays. Mag Tuesday. Due Thursday with 24 hour extension - must be requested. Sign in by Friday so I can get the mag done.
