In all honesty nah, I legit wasn’t even thinking of myself, I was more so thinking out of the rest of these guys.

I guess a better question then is “Who are the most decorated (excluding me)”?

I haven’t looked into it yet but some obvious names to throw out are Pent, Certain, dead man and Frank perhaps off hand.

It would be good to have a top five with their champeds and accomplishments to compare with one another.

It probably is me. I guess what I was trying to see was who was the next behind me.

The rankings he’s linked to only seem to have been updated throughout season 1-3, then you’ve got some sort of “Battle Of The Week” links for season 5 or whatever but that’s about it. There’s a lot of stuff missing, definitely a lot of wins not counted nor championship titles, no GWL titles for example, no tournaments listed etc. That’s not to discredit Frank but it’s only a snippet of a much larger field so it doesn’t give us a complete picture.


I might go back over it and update to give something more comprehensive.

I had two battles, with a champ match vs Deadman scheduled before it seems the moderators lost their way and I ended up taking the moderation reigns to finish what they started.

Season 6

I had one battle in Season 6, when I faced JESODIST: http://www.netcees.org/showthread.php?t=123111 - no other matches whatsoever. I believe I only signed in to beat him.

There’s no archive for an AOWL Season 8, so I’m not sure if it had a rebrand or something went down where they changed the leagues name or ran something different but you can see I was never really that competitive in the seasonal league format, I certainly haven’t been around it anywhere near what Frank has.

He thinks of a creative ending bar that relates to the topic and literally builds out from there, maintaining the rhyme scheme with stretched words and logic. He can only operate within the confined space of the rhyme scheme that he chooses. His creativity literally stems from that. If he were ever forced to branch off, and you know, actually try to build a narrative, he would be lost. So, although technically impressive, he just doesn't know how to tell a story properly or in any effective manner. That's how you beat him. And I'll prove it when we finally do face off.

If I had battles against Lars and Frank, I'd be more worried about Lars because he can be unpredictable with what he will do. I KNOW what Frank is up to... and can counter that.

So decorated? Meh. Even boys scouts are decorated with badges. If I had been around as long as Lars and Frank their lists of accomplishments wouldn't be as long... because I'd own half of them.

Well I've been "around" since Nov. 2017 and I've won two titles in GWL (which you were in and champed as well). Two in AOWL (you champed that once since I've been here). And Dust of our Labor (say what you want about that)... Which gives me five... right?

So of the nine between us, I've won five and you've won four. You didn't take part in Dust, which I won, and I didn't take part in Black August, which you won.

But accomplishments shows more about consistency than ability, imo. Guys like dead man, pancake and soulstice ran roughshod over competition but also no-showed a lot. I had a pretty monstrous run in AOWL that got derailed because I was moving with my fiancee and dog to another country during the playoffs. The people who showed up week after week racked up the most accomplishments, but they weren't necessarily the best/most formidable.

Vulgar also deserves a mention as one of the all-time topicalists imo, though I'm not sure what he's champed and all that off the top.
