This is on some American raised shit. Not some stupid ass "Sir Benedict Cumberbatch," British/London bullshit.

It was weird at first...but now I've gotten used to it. However, I'm still adjusting to my peers, or people slightly younger than me referring to me as a man.

i.e. "I love that man." Or, "he's a great man." Or "he's a profound and intelligent man."

I've only lived in my own mind in this short time, and I guess the adjustment is just...weird.

I'm sure other Americans agree.

I'll never understand what that means. Nor will I look into it.

I call people older than me sir and maam constantly lol

I had one lady say to me..

"please don't call me maam, it makes me feel like my grandmother"

the last thing you'll get from me is some sort of negative response. it's very clear you have no actual idea as to who i am. i'm totally ok with that.

Its a sign of respect that the younger generation has lost site... at work I won't answer a kid if I'm not called mr. Frank ... and they don't get anything without a yes sir no sir please and thank you ... most of these kids have terrible trauma and or disorders so giving them simple daily routines and showing them how respect is earned and given is a huge step ... then we work on the real issues

A lot of them come to me too defiant to respect authority and follow the simplest of directions whem they leave its a complete 180
