but word you get inside and there is just a button. i couldnt figure out how to shut it off yo. i hit the button like wtf? i forget how i did it.

but word im still trying to wrap my head around cars that don't have keys, its like a plastic plug in thing

my key is made out of metal. i put it in my car and turn it and nothing happens. but with it turned it is in position for me to touch two wires running directly off my starter together which starts my car.

i also have to roll my windows up and down manually.

Ive seen these keys with new mid-high range cars. From what I have seen, normally the key goes into a slot and then you push a button which is always hard to find. Also the cars (some) adjust to your weight and ass size so that when you sit on the seat its programmed in that it is you, if someone else sat in the seat it wouldn't start even with the key.

Theres no way it would start without the key being involved, say for example Vic is standing next to his car on the outside, someone knocks him and he is out, they couldnt just open his car, push a button and be off cause the key is in close proximity, it doesnt work like that.

i understand the engine/ drivetrain/ suspension i guess... but who was OEM+?????????????????

-doesnt lower resale value, if tastefully done increases it
-looks dope as fuck because youre using materials and parts from more expensive/ limited edition models that are designed to work with the generic model/ range of models
- you get a much nicer car for a relatively low price by using stock prts from other models

it's a proximity sensor.

older / cheaper cars require you to stick the fob in a slot. newer / upscale ones don't require that at all. start button does nothing without key in proximity, so you can leave the car running and get out with the key in your pocket.. someone would try to snatch your car and it wouldn't go.

Thats not true with the car running and key in a distance...

The car normally locks if someone steps within range... but for some odd reason it doesnt sometimes and they can get in car and drive off but once its shut off they need a key to start again.

I tried this with my Altima...
