italian food>
if you prefer mexican you've just never had real deal italian food. you probably think meatsauce is an acceptable practice. you probably dip your pizza in ranch dressing. etc
although i havent had MEXICAN mexican food before. and im italian so im biased
the only "authentic" mexican food i've had is at this restaraunt up here, and everyone i know loves it. shit was terrible. seriously.
i got this mega burrito thing, that was supposed to be half chicken, half beef. it was literally just shredded chicken breast in one side, and ground beef in the other side. not like mixed, it was half and half. like a giant 2 lb burrito.
no beans in it. no cheese. no sauce. meat didnt even taste seasoned. they just browned some ground beef and boiled some chicken and threw that shit in a giant tortilla like fuck it.
but they give you free nachos. so i ate a shitload of those with some bombass cheese sauce but still
that was my only real mexican food affair. other than home made white people taco's, and taco bell.
but italian wise cmonson. got the fam in NY and jersey. its just a whole nother level above everything. when we're talking italian i'm hoping we mean american italian btw. not some real italian food bullshit like octopuss and clams and shit.
but yo. my aunt patty, i can't pronounce here full name its like patterinizia or some shit. but yea man, she makes everything. the sauce, the pasta, the sausage, grounds fucking lamb, pork and beef for her meatballs. gets the fresh mozzarella from the deli and etc
theres nothing that can fuck with it.

American pizza can barely even be called Italian food, though. It's excluded in my mind. It's a category unto itself.

italian pizza is american food lol
but nah pizza is italian but only on a technicality. its what poor italian people would make when they were low on fundssss. they'd throw together random ingredients they had lying around. got some sauce, no pasta tho. got some bread. theres some mozzarella scraps. lets bake it im hungry broooo
but word. pizza is american.
like cheeseburgers.
american food is the only thing that can compete with italian food.
you ever have like boneless wings from a pizza place? how come chinese food places dont use that high quality white meat for there dishes?
chinese food would be a contender if it wasnt for the dark nasty rat looking meat they use. they need to use them boneless white meat balls

i don't believe it exists
espescially in ----- dakota
the ----- stands for north or south because i forget.
but nah im sure there is some bomb mexican food. but its all PALLETES
however that is spelled. mine favors the red lead sauce and green peppers over the more spicy peppers and plain meats
i mean think about a meatball dawg. its beef or pork usually, with egg, breadcrumbs, italian seasonings, parmesan or romano cheese, garlic etc all rolled into perfection and slow cooked in a sauce that consists of olive oil, tomato's garlic onions peppers etc, served over some pasta AL DENTE, that you can stick and pick up with a fork.
my mouth is jizzin saliva
wish these baked potato's would hurry up. im american today. steak and baked potato. probably not even american, but it is to me. where ever it hails from can suck it
PancakeBrah

word @ palettes. i've never been a fan of meatballs. back when i was a kid i would ask for no meatballs in spaghetti. so that speaks to palettes and shit.

Or we talking americanized mexican and Italian food

Just cause this one spot in bmore called pizza johns has amazing Italian cuisine but their pizza is well known ... so for that I'm going Italian.... this other joint here in pa makes authentic Sicilian pizza ( not that faux deep dish american shit either ) shits just crazy fatting all around but real good
But I rarely eat either and if I do I'm making it myself unless its from a place I know has actual good food not just dough tomato paste and mozzarella cheese or a tortilla some rice and mystery meat

though i still like the results of both --- i have to say once again AERO AND RAWN come through.
mexican for lunch, italian for dinner.
it's not your question, I know... but i need some other criteria --- both are good shit. Last meal, italian... every day meal, mexican.... date food italian --- dude food, mexican
help me narrow it down --- i could eat italian food after mexican food, but not mexican food after italian food, wtf do i do

only stone oven cooked pizzas are worth it for me. deep fried white bait and avacado sticks, geeez.. that's some good snack shit. i like soft tacos atm though, been going in on the combinations of ingredients, plus we been making thai versions of mexican food. pretty difficult choice.. when i was younger chinese was my favourite, still pretty hard to beat if it's done properly.

What about taco pizzas? What the fuck then?
bitch.
Mexican > Italian. But my favorite dish of all time is lasagna. And my favorite second dish is beans with rice.
And my third favorite dish is Lasagna with beans in it. And my fourth favorite dish is beans with lasagna in them.
And my fifth favorite dish is rice made out of beans.
And my sixth favorite dish is beans made out of rice in a lasagna made out of beans.
Either way you'd get tired of whatever you eat. But I'd choose either or. I have to say Italians have some weird dishes. And none of you probably either had real authentic italian or mexican food, well most of you, (besides the one that are from either place) and even then your parents probably didn't even cook it well. Also, yes. Just because you eat chinese takeout doesn't mean it's authentic chinese. Same as everywhere else. Chipotle isn't mexican. It's based off mexicans, but it isn't mexican. IT's american food made to cater towards mexican culture. Beans, tortillas, etc. Same with Olive Garden. It isn't real italian food. Well, it is, but it's americanized. Therefore not fully.
But I have to say, food from different cultures made in their home country taste very different and sometimes even a bit pungent for my taste, but I like some of it. And I'm not talking the stereotypical Mario Pizza or the Dora the explorer taco. I'm talking, actual dishes, not just snacks.

I assume stone over and brick oven are the same ... because brick oven pizza is phenomenal

Well, obviously, Italian is way better than Mexican in Germany, but I'd really say that Italian is the greatest cuisine of all. lol @ the person who said Italian is not versatile enough. That just shows you've never had real Italian food. It's not just pasta & pizza, guys.

None of these gay ass pizza joints compare to a 4 generation homemade pizza recipe passed down through family.

I've had some great meals at nationally recognized Chinese restaurants. But they don't compare to similarly priced and lauded Mexican, Italian or Indian restaurants.
San Chow Boi is so dope I eat it a lot, totally try it if you haven't. (chinese)
Beef Enchilada is the best Mex, I try it at every joint, have become a conniseur of the dish, also like Chili Concarne, (and the obv. taco/nacho/burrito)
I love Pizza but as said its not authentic, spag bog is a standard, Las and cabonara are great.
I would have to go Mex in this debate for mouth watering delectableness.

That's not true. Different regions of Italy eat very different foods. Most of the regions eat pasta, but they use different sauces and sauce types.
Americans thicken every sauce in every type of food, from Indian to Chinese to Italian, but there are parts of Italy that eat a ton of marinara and others that eat almost none.
Gotta luv a good Spag Bog
