I'm nearly 25.
It makes me feel like a failure. Most of the people I converse and hang out with think I'm on a right track and semi look up to me. I have no idea why.

If you want to feel really old, consider your age the amount of years you are older than a child being born today.

I'm 20 but I feel like the last two years of my life have aged me about 20 more years. Forreal.

Yeah I've realized that. It's amazing looking back when you're in high school and all the adults talk about "the real world" and how bad it is and none of the kids listen and think school is a bad thing. Well, I'll be the first to admit I was wrong, and the real world is shit.

Wanna trade?
I'm pretty successful for my age, but would trade it all to be 10 years younger again.
So you're meaning to tell me even when I become a success I'm still not satisfied? How fucked up is that? Thanks, life.

Sorry bruh.
There's a reason billionaires still try to do everything they can to be younger.
The ideal outlook would be that since is the only life you get (theoretically), embrace every last minute of it and stop chasing the past.
We have an innate ability to ignore that perspective, though. Myself included.

This is what I try to do myself, but in reality it's damn near impossible. Each second is another moment in time that's passed and you've likely just missed it doing whatever it is you're doing. Even thinking "I'm going to live each second of my life to the fullest" is in fact wasting a second of your life. Strange, isn't it?

forreal, i have a horrible habit of chasing the past and constantly worrying about the future, financially. i'm sure everyone has that problem to some degree. but it is so hard to stay in the "now" so to speak, though i know thats where you're gonna reach most happiness. straight livin in the moment.
there's one thing i did recently that made me feel younger again. i tried that Insanity workout shit lmao forreal, i been so lazy lately that i just NEEDED to do something. and even though i wanted to throw up after only a 45min session, and my body felt like jello; about an hour later something happened:
i had more energy than i ever had naturally, than i can remember. i felt like i had the energy, enthusiasm, and motivation of when i was 10years old. workouts have never done that for me before. i was a pretty serious bball player back in high school and i was always exhausted afterward, wanting a nap, whether it was after the gym, after a jog, after a scrimmage, whatever. i never felt so pumped up after working out, it was like a natural high.
whoever said that even when you're a success, you're still not fully satisfied is right. thats life, we're always craving more, or expecting ourselves to do better. which isnt necessarily a bad thing. life is a big circle of ups and downs and inbetweens, it doesnt matter who you are or how much money you have. it's a cycle. of life

You still have pretty much everything to look forward to, though.
Enjoy it. For serious.

Society has layed it on thick...
Age is truly just a number associated with things society says you can do when your reach a certain milestone ... When your younger you want to be older to benefit from these things when your older you realize most of these things were not worth the years of wondering how it would feel to reach that milestone and in turn you subconsciously want your wasted youth back ... That's my take anyway
I'm 17

I believe this too. Basically as teenagers we're led to believe that money will buy us everything we'll every want or need and the only way to make this money is to work within the system when in reality it's those that work outside of the system (Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, etc.) that make REAL money. The system wants workers and that's about it. Work a 9-5, get married and pop out some kids so the system can keep on moving. I say just be. Fuck money and just do what you wanna do and that should be enough.

Dude the to US needs minimal trained hard workers that are interchangeable ... Why do you think college is so expensive and public schools don't really teach you shit anymore ? ... Once you learn a craft or get comfortable doing a job it's hard to leave and you learn to live with in your means ... You don't have to add or subtract to be a cashier anymore, you don't have to do a ton of physical work at a factory anymore, almost everything is on a computer screen now ... Humans are being trained to jobs a monkey could do and then their made to feel important about it, at first then it becomes routine ... The older you get the harder you think it is to learn a new so called skill ...
If your elected president you get a salary the rest of your life, when you retire
from a company you put 35 years in with you get a party a cake a wrist watch and if your lucky a severance package and retirement funds/ social security
word i know that, my grandma gets it still and she like 80 w/ cancer and alzheimers and she worked in a hotel until i was like 7, now she just chillin getting those retirement checks but like she has flashes like where she thinks she's still in a hotel working and all kinds of shit tbh i think working for that long in one area fries your brain out because you get used to it and then you cannot change a lot of things or focus on something new
and i know, the government of USA is a joke. i dont take it along with stereotypes, music, tv as anything serious because the lvl of maturity has just disappeared. these guys act like kids now, its another sandbox and monkey bars for those guys and America's doomed
