I SAY NO LATER THAN THE AGE OF 25 WIN LOSE OR DRAW.....
25 is long.
@18 you should be out your parents house yo
Answer

Realistically speaking, unless you're a trustfund baby - you're probably not going to be out of the house at 18. No "out of highschool with no degree or real life work experience" job pays enough money to cover the cost of a car, insurance, rent AND bills. Chances are you're going to be working as a cashier at a really shitty place for a few years and making minimum wage.
And if you plan on going to college fulltime, that's even more expenses and more time that can't be spent working a full-time job.
Maybe in the 80's, the system was set-up to allow people to move out of the house by 18 - but these days, that's damn near impossible unless you've got your parents feeding you money

by the way, I don't count "moving out" as boarding in a dorm room at college, or living with a roommate. That, to me, just says you're dumb with your money and you're moving out just for the sake of saying "Hey I moved out"
Unless your home life is actually intolerable enough to merit moving out, you should be financially intelligent enough to know that taking advantage of as much free board as you can is the best move
I count moving out as getting your OWN place. If it's with a significant other, that's fine - assuming you plan on being with them for a long time

i agree, but this has nothing to do with the topic lol.
I was just responding to the people that said "it should be when you're getting married."
Getting married isn't something you do at a certain age...it's something you do whenever you happen to meet the person that's right for you. That could happen anywhere between the ages of 18 and 40. For some people, even later
but as for moving out, that's all contingent on a lot of different things. What's more important is what you're doing WHILE you're living with your parents. If you're 25, but have a good paying job and enough money to move out - but you want to take the free board until you pay off your car, by all means - that's a smart fucking thing to do
but if you're 25 years old & not doing shit with your life but playing COD all day and not actively doing anything to improve your situation, then you're pathetic
Myself, I moved out when I was 23 & currently have an apartment with my girlfriend. But we both have car payments, bills, and other unexpected shit. And it's not we're struggling to pay them - we do fine. but we don't have nearly as much free money to save up as we did before we moved in together
Untold
10-23-2013, 09:42 AM
Hmm... I'm 25 and have moved in and out since I was 18. I'm living at home at least till I'm 26, because I'll be moving back to New Orleans this summer.
But I don't know. I'll be graduating right after that as well and considering going to California. My parents want me to live here, and I want to also, till I graduate and what not. I'm really grateful for that also.
So, I guess as long as it takes. My gf's brother and his wife lived with his parents AFTER they got married for a year or so. Then once they had the funds, moved out, bought a house and now runs/owns a successful salon here in town. He's pushing 28 and she was over 30. So ya...

There's more pressure on men since they're expected to be the breadwinners in the family. Though the statistics show a smaller number of women in the same age range live with their parents. I attribute that to 2 things
1 - A lot of them are probably dating older guys who make more money
2 - I think it's easier for a woman to find a roommate to go half & half with than it is for a dude

How do u feel about bullies? I'm talkin like elementary through hs... Cyber or Irl?

But they found this kid I think middle school dead wrapped in a gym mat
They said it was suicide initially, but the school will notnrealease the footage bc they say minors r on camera
The victims parents signed off consent tho, and school still won't release bc their are other children in the video
So that's basically saying that there were other kids around when dood got killed/suicided
I Havn't been following the story to much but that's what I've heard as of late
But that just speaks to the bigger picture of bullying and school killings/deaths
And then u can parallel this bullying epidemic to also schools cutting guidance counclers and also the diminishment of behavioral grades
Just curious on ur professional outlook The Mind Assassin

being serious, professionaly I say that a bully is actually the one who needs help. Bullying is and has always been a problem. What I am concerned with psychologically, is the severity of it lately.
I also believe that the families of the bullies should be made to some how make reparations to the family of the victims.
still in yet, also professionally, there are those individuals who bring bullying on theirselves, and that is unfortunate. As psychology journals are littered with the human animal's need for social heirarchy and in group homogeneity.

Word
They say bullies typically are acting out on the abuse they suffer themselves
They also did an experiment w toddlers some abused some not
When a toddler would cry out the abused toddlers would reply by hitting the crying toddler, while the non-abused toddler would respond by showing affection n care to remedy the crying
So it's a learned behavior
But I think the prevalence as of late may have something to do with counclers cut backs and lack of attention put on behavior in grades

of course their are social hierarchies, what is the problem is the paradoxes of the principle of in-group homogeneity.
