Can't that create some issues with Sony tho? If their games are supposed to be released at whatever date and people start playing it online before it's officially out, can't you be banned from playing them? I remember I read some hiatus about some people getting MW3 before launch and played it online only to get their accounts banned. Googled, found it (http://www.gamepolitics.com/2011/11/04/xbox-live-bans-playing-modern-warfare-3-launch#.UoKI0eLj7vk):

"For those asking about MW3 pre-release play: If your copy is legit and obtained legitly, have fun. It's a great game."

But later he clarified his earlier statement, saying:

"clarification: dblchk'd with Activision. Mw3 pre-release play not authorized. So pls be patient. Playing early may impact your account!"


I guess it depends a lot on the game manufacturer etc., but I would still be cautious and google a bit before playing anything online before launch.

Word, good point. But have they taken any security precautions so that when it do get online they'll see who has played what at whatever date? I guess they wont do that as it would bring a lot of negative and unwanted attention at launch along with making customers pissed, but still, who knows what kinda rules and regulations these game manufacturers have made. I am just theorizing here and these points of mine are probably completely wrong, I don't know shit, haha.
