View Full Version : USA need to stick to NFL
Getting thrashed 64-0 by Australia in the recent Rugby League World Cup ain't a good look.
Nothing but respect to the Eagles though, nothing personal.

Canada have a good rugby union team. Americans arent good at rugby league or union, just not their sport. Its always competitive in the swimming though between the two countries

Still.. Puttin up a donut is pretty sad
It's fuckin rugby, not football where u have complicated schemes n shit
It'll be like a basketball team losing 80-0
We suck at rugby so that the rest of the world can actually win something. You're welcome.

Fuck kinda sport is this?

We call a touchdown a try, so to make it simple for you, 4 points a touchdown and 2 points for a goal after

They like it.

im not sure what you just said^
but yo i don't see the hate on rugby, soccer word, but rugby is cool for what it is
it just has no place in american life. i guess some schools have rugby teams. where? i dunno probably rich white private schools. like that game with a stick, LACROSSE. no one here grew up playing either of those. at least you can get a soccer ball from wal mart. you know as an american that you cant touch a soccer ball with your hands and you kick it around.
my view of rugby is like its a dude running and when he gets to the end zone he has to kick the ball, and every now and then they all get together and throw there arms over eachothers shoulders and push eachother around
but word. i couldnt tell you anything else other than that
meanwhile the first thing i think of when i think rugby, is giant samoans in austrailia
so it doesnt surprise me when austrailia murks america. i've played baseball, basketball, football, soccer, even hockey/field hockey as a kid in backyards/streets. no one ever played rugby tho
im assuming in austrailia kids play rugby
closest thing to rugby is smear the queer probably. but i always associated that with football. whoever has the ball just has to not get murked by everyone else who is trying to destroy him

"nobody care about nfl outside america" - "canada do" *facepalm*
rugby birthed american football. still world wide more countries play rugby than american football, there is also a world cup for it. some of y'all look stupid as fuck disrespecting the origins of one of your most popular sports.
i personally prefer to watch nfl than rugby, but superbowl doesn't even get half the world audience the football world cup final or the cricket world cup final gets.
worldwide field hockey has more participants than american football, it's not even in the top 5.

everyone knows soccer is gigantic
as far as cricket, duh nigga. INDIA. theres billions of them. the only person in real life who has ever mentioned cricket in my presence is the cornerstore owner who is an indian immigrant lol
no one has ever mentioned rugby in my presence
people even talk about tennis
im not saying rugby is a shit sport, i'm just saying its not on any americans radar
we aren't brought up with it, therefore it doesnt matter. it might as well be that horselord sport where they throw a dead sheep in a barrel from horseback
its completely removed from our culture

Uh oh top 5 boarder, dead or alive.
As usual with Americans it turns into a popularity contest, consumer mentality. I almost feel as though I'm supposed to talk about discounts.
My point; never participate in international rugby on any level again. It wouldn't be so bad for Turkmenistan, because where the fuck is that? But for the USA, the "greatest country on the face of the earth" - we expect shit from you, of the highest standards.
Pretty funny how your team gets hammered in rugby and all of a sudden "we don't give a fuck about rugby". Some support you got going there. Abandoning ship when things don't go your way.
Apparently Rugby ain't as easy as you thought.
