all classics for sure

it would be interesting to see kanye try and reintroduce that same feel-good atmosphere in his music again and leave the heavy shit at home for once

college dropout is his only album i really love. but as a native chicagoan i would usually defend him up until recently

What like Em remaking MMLP?

Never work. It's like an ex manger going back to his old team. Shit rarely If ever works out.

College Drop Out is an all time classic. Any attempt to recapture that will
Most likely end in disappointment.

nah

kanye hasn't fallen off. he's better at rapping now, if anything. you don't lose production skills.

if he made beats like he used to and rhymed over them it would be dope.

his main flaw in my opinion is how his beats have evolved and how he does things to appease people and sell now, production wise i mean.

give kanye a box of records and his asr10 or an mpc and he'll give you 20 classic beats

Kanye has drifted so far away from the college drop out sound It's hard to tell if he can go back to that. It isn't a case of lacking the talent. More the imagination. Producers lose their way. Lose inspiration. The creative touch. Pigeon hole themselves and get stuck producing a certain sound. 1 minute you nail a certain aspect or vibe the next you're stuck making something else you can't get out of.

I'm not putting my self on kanye Level but I've been making beats since I was a kid so I know (to a certain degree)

If anything it should have been easier for Em to recapture MMLP all he had to do was write and rap. Kanye gotta do all that and make the beats, and mix and master them. And he's just not in that space now. He In a space which took years to gradually reach.

I agree he could probably do it music wise, but when it comes to content I feel he is a far different person than he was when he first came out, his persona, his lifestyle and his attitude aren't compatible with that kind of album anymore.

i mean of course. and it's probably a memory association thing. you usually love the albums you loved in your younger days the most

as far as his rapping i don't think he's gotten better or worse. just has different subject matter now.

but that 'mayonnaise colored benz, i push miracle whips' had me geeking when i first heard it

kanye for punchline king 2004

You're asking for regression. What he's doing now is more valuable. He's pushing the genre.

Only 2 good songs on Yeezus. Black Skinhead and Blood on the leaves.
