is that the film where he gets into a car crash and it all turns into water colours?
word @ gummo, harmony korine's work in general .. ken park and julien donkey-boy are great too.
internal affairs is one of my favorite films, the ending > the departed ending.

and props for mentioning 'the raid', anyone into zombie films watch that shit.. the french subtitled version only though, the american dubbed version tries hard to turn it into cheesiest bullshit.
no wonder i could never find it on netflix...godam and i watched a foreign copy of the raid..wasnt french tho lol. i think we on 2 different movies..the raid redemption didnt have any zombies lol.

Lucky number Slevin. Some well thought out thriller right there. Don't sleep on this movie!
Edit: I realized that OP recommended Waltz for Bashir. If you like those kind of animated movies you should definately check out Persepolis. I think it's even better than Waltz for Bashir.

i'm thinking of the horde not the raid, i always get them confused.. they both have the large tower block on the cover. both really good films though.

When it comes to Anime - Ghost in the Shell 2. A real brainbender right there. And word @ Innovator, Howls moving Castle is a storytellers wet dream to put to paper. Love that movie. Akira and Princess Mononoke is obligatory recommendations in that department as well along with Metropolis. Grave of the Fireflies is pretty great too.

this is meant to be for obscure movies people haven't seen but need to. not a list of the most mainstream movies you can think of. read other peoples lists and then your own.. hence why you could 'keep going'.
