Of the albums listed, only Funeral, ATLiens, XX, Mines, Shields, illmatic, Aeroplane, Boxer, and Black Sheep Boy would be in consideration for my Top 10 Albums of All-Time. For instance, there are a couple of Antlers albums I'd pick over almost all these albums.

Your second point is true, too. Seems like he's being purposefully difficult. He utilizes a weird pointed southern drawl of singing for no reason. Sings out of himself.

but the album is chock full of great melodies and memorable/catchy sections. There are a few 10/10 songs, and the tracks that aren't have a beautiful sounding portion somewhere.

Plus it just seems to seep into you if you listen to it enough.
