Welcome to the Sign-ups for the Winter Topical Tournament, the topical leg of the Big 4 Seasonal Tournaments. This will be a 32-man tournament ran by myself with the help of the Topical/Open Mic side of the administrator and moderator team. We’ll run sign ups until we have enough participants but we hope to start the tournament on Monday the 13th of January, after the AOWL Championship verses have been posted. Each round of the tournament will be specific type of topical (phrase, picture, quote, painting, etc.) allowing participants to showcase their different skillsets and abilities in the topical side of the site. There will be Magazines released at the start of every round, guaranteed.

However, the way brackets work out pit you against name-brand writers if that makes sense. A lil sheep-voting, a lil underappreciaton of all but enjoyability and raw mechanics, both work against you in the early rounds without the necessary underdog appeal.

I don't anymore, but I used to change my writing strategy based on opponents all the time. It served me well, and if I were more invested in winning these days, I would go back to it. Frank is known for it, and he's made the AOWL championship with that strategy.
