lmao at aesop rock, skelethon was the first and only thing I heard by him, and it wasnt very enjoyable.

For me it was BUllets of truth BY dumbfoundead - had heard one or two songs but thought he was a much better battler then performer. Then heard this and have ended up really enjoying most of his music since.

Ruled the world was dope but didn't make me a fan. Until I heard one mic I didn't want to listen to all his songs. Made me think I was sleeping on him.

Joe Budden "Whatever It takes" before then I only knew him for Pump it Up and Focus, fire, etc. Calm Down/ 10 minutes on his first album let me know he had some substance to em, but he totally let the labels fuck him over regarding creativity for the mainstream (big woof) because he really just let himself lose and did him after that and "Whatever It takes" knocked me off my rocker
